Chefs in Portland, Ore., are ready to make a statement with their Spanish fare, while two friends pursue a food-and-dance concept in Manhattan.

I was more interested in seeing Old New York.

Both offers seemed interesting, but I really thought he would take the other one.

What a dream offer-to go to Spain to work with Masters? Such an opportunity for him to really fine tune his skills and knowledge. This was a fabulous offer. I couldn't believe he even hesitated making his decision. It was the right decision to cut the other guy out-anyone who doesn't have alcohol at the bar has no place owning a tapas bar.

I never realized before that Sang Yoon and Tim scene that they have the same face, but Sang is the Korean version.

Really wish they'd gone with Lee's much more engaging concept. His food seemed great on The Taste.

Glad this was a regular Tim & Joe episode. If it ain't broke....

Lee Knoeppel, the guy in the plaid shirt and black vest with Old New York.... he was on The Taste, and hooked up with one of the female contestants on the show and they tried to start up some kind of private chef gig. Maybe before or after he opened up Barcade. Who knows, the guy just wants to be on TV.

Old New York did seem like a more interesting concept to me, though I'm not sure what they're were thinking with the hip hop dance club stuff.

The launch was bad but they went from basic sandwiches to a full tapas bar. Not exactly something you plan in a day.

I agree.  The investors insisted they do something and then judged them when it didn't go well.

I basically like this show, but it does grate when Joe and Tim insist that the restaurateurs change their concept so dramatically. If you don't like the original business plan, then why are you trying to invest in the project?
