Ripley Rules February 15, 2016 Share February 15, 2016 (edited) Here's a great interview with Luke Arnold about the evolution of John Silver's character: https://www.inverse.com/article/11016-luke-arnold-the-pirate-genius-of-black-sails-goes-long-on-john-silver Now I can't wait for episode 7! BTW, if anyone can think of a better title for this thread, please change it. Edited February 15, 2016 by Ripley Rules 2 Link to comment
Trisan February 16, 2016 Share February 16, 2016 I've been a fan of Luke Arnold's portrayal since day one ! Sure, as he says in the interview, he was "as far away from the LJS of TI as possible" in the beginning, but that's what I loved, feeling that the development would be worth it... and it sure as hell was ! And the seeds of the true LJS were always here, albeit hidden, but that was just the proof of amazing storytelling and interpretation from Luke ! 1 Link to comment

If you ever see "Never Tear Us Apart" you'll be even more of a fan. I laughed when the article said Silver looked like a member of an 18th century boy band in the first season; how true. Someone even asked me if the same actor was playing Silver this season. 1 Link to comment
