leafwolf November 13, 2015 Share November 13, 2015 So I love this show but just like so many other shows they are dropping into cliches and not really, for lack if a better term, sticking to the topic. As usual here's the hero has to have some REASON not to tell people like his dad. WHY? The lawyer client confidentiality thing would have been fine. A minion from the evil senator, although as I recall from the movie the guy was NOT evil. So even tho he may not be able to outhink the evil senator on NZT surely he can out think the evil minion. He figures everything else out in a snap but he's stymied by some henchmen? Seriously he should be able to find out who they are , where they are and come up with a plan to effectively neutrilize the threat. Other than a head to head battle with the "evil" senator he should own them. So guysv(writers etc) let's make it right and not go down the same path every other action show does...the easy one Link to comment
Lebanna November 13, 2015 Share November 13, 2015 It was heavily implied that Colin Salmon's character, Mr. Sands is also on NZT. Just because he's a follower and does what Morra tells him, doesn't mean he's stupid. He's just dedicated and uses his intelligence for his job. So Brian might not have anything over Mr. Sands except his more individual personality and his determination, as we saw last epsiode, to protect his friends even at the cost of his own life. Which might not really be an advantage at all. 1 Link to comment
Latverian Diplomat November 14, 2015 Share November 14, 2015 Sands is the tip of an iceberg. There's a whole lot of power (whatever resources Morra has accumulated) behind him, including the supply of the enzyme, and Brian knows this. No matter how smart you are, when someone's got leverage, they've got it. It's seems pretty clear to me that Morra is not evil, but he's not above using threats. And he was testing Brian's moral limits with threats he didn't seem prepared to actually carry out (but Brian couldn't be sure). Sands' murder of that one researcher may or may not have been with Morra's approval, but I think not. Link to comment
Netfoot November 14, 2015 Share November 14, 2015 Sands' murder of that one researcher may or may not have been with Morra's approval, but I think not. The murder may not even be a murder. There is a small chance that the explosion was to fake the man's death while he was moved to a new identity, after he'd been found. There is no indication that this is what happened, but the possibility does exist, and may be made known to us at a later date. 4 Link to comment
