Cranberry September 13, 2015 Share September 13, 2015 Episodes 13-20 have leaked, apparently due to one country's iTunes store putting them up for purchase early (you may recall that the same thing happened with the season one finale). If anyone has seen those and wants to discuss, this is the place! I will continue to make separate episode threads as the show airs each week. Please do not post anything about later episodes in each of those episode threads; they will function as usual. Also, please do not post publicly on these forums about how/where to obtain the leaked episodes. Obviously, this thread will contain in-depth spoilers for all of season 2B, so read on at your own risk! Link to comment
beetlesoda September 13, 2015 Share September 13, 2015 (edited) Watched it all, and while I know some will be disappointed I actually enjoyed half of the season. The second part was far more entertaining than the first part, i loved the focus shfting back at karmy and less karma and liam. I thought Katie was great this season. The karmy fan in me a a bit disspointed while there are always little signs here and there that might pin point to what Karma feels for Amy i am very dissapointed this was basically a rehash of season 1 and 2 finale, Amy pouring her heart out and Karma rejecting yet again. I don't know what Carter is doing here, had the final scene where Karma once again denies Amy been shown I would've been on the side that Karma potentially having feelings due to her jealousy of Felix and that kiss. But now I don't even know, tell us once and for all carter I'm getting tired of waiting and give us something else for once. But I must say Rita and Katie knocked it out of the park as usual during their final scene, wow, love those two can bring out the best in eachother Edited September 13, 2015 by beetlesoda Link to comment
Cranberry September 13, 2015 Author Share September 13, 2015 Yeah, I don't know what to think, either. I liked that Liam and Karma were definitely not the main story of this half-season and that Felix wasn't pushed as some kind of perfect boyfriend for Amy. Amy's feelings for guys didn't get as much focus as I expected them to. I think there were a lot of little hints pointing toward eventual Karmy, like Karma being clingy with Amy, not wanting to see her with Felix, wanting to attend prom with her instead of even thinking about asking a guy (even though she had a bit of a crush on Wade), and kissing her while drunk (and then there were Liam's multiple comments about how Karma cares more about Amy than him), but there were also a few times where Karma assured people yet again that she was straight, so who knows. I wouldn't be surprised if she realizes over the summer apart that she has feelings for Amy, but Amy gets over Karma while out on tour, and that storyline would be tiresome. I don't know how long they can do this will-they-or-won't-they thing. I did not like how possessive and angry Reagan got right before the breakup. It made her look bad. The show did redeem her in the finale, though, with her giving sound, unbiased advice. I'm glad that she wants to be there as Amy's friend. It was also nice to see Jasmine again, albeit briefly, again being the supportive voice of wisdom. I don't know much about the issues around male bisexual representation, so I won't comment on how Wade's story was handled other than to say that I was happy to see both Karma and Liam defending the existence of male bisexuality and calling Shane on his crap. I also liked Wade pointing out that just because he was bisexual, it didn't mean that he wanted to have sex with a man and a woman at the same time. I liked most of the episodes, really. Good things: Liam getting storylines that didn't revolve around Karma. I liked how the show paired up a bunch of different characters this season, actually. Karma and Shane, Amy and Felix, Karma and Felix, Amy and Lauren, Liam and Zita... even Lauren and Liam had a somewhat nice moment. The Breakfast Club episode with all the main characters was fun, too. Zita. Yeah, she wants Liam, but she did not make a move on him until he assured her that he wasn't with Karma. Prior to that, she was nice to Karma; she treated her money situation delicately (and without looking down on her for being poor) and didn't try to get in between her and Liam. I think she'd make a good girlfriend for Liam; she calls him on his shit when necessary and she wants to help him through his bio dad stuff. Felix. He got a lot of fun lines and he seemed like a sweet guy. I didn't want him with Amy (and I'm glad the show didn't push him as a major love interest), but I liked him as an addition to the group. The sex ed talk with his dad was great. Shane's mom, who got some great lines. "We've got the fun kids!" His sister Sasha was a bit of a caricature, but I liked her and Shane's dynamic and I enjoyed how she teased Liam ("I lick plenty of ears. It was a joke. I'm funny like that"). She crossed the line by sleeping with him, though. That six-year age difference is a lot when the ages are (barely) 17 and 23. Lauren's dad trying to be supportive and (initially) screwing it up. "Lauren's an intersex. What's your kid have?" Wade's, "I'm bi. Had that not even occurred as a possibility to you?" Karma and Shane's rivalry and their very different (but similarly complimentary to themselves) versions of the threesome. Liam going to prom with a skeleton and the pig and the ficus winning prom king and queen. Amy making the right decision at the end. She needs some space and distance. And of course, Queen Lauren, saving the school, bonding with Amy, staying in town, and finally proudly stating -- out loud, in front of everyone -- that she's intersex. Link to comment
ybrik September 13, 2015 Share September 13, 2015 Haven't watched the episodes just read most of the reports of the eps because well I'm weak. The ending with Amy leaving wasn't too hard to see coming. It's become clear that for both girls they need time apart to figure out thier stuff. I also think I understand that some people will be frustrated by the ending. Frankly this ending should have happened at the end of season 1. Instead they went with the controversial ending which meant so much of the first half of the season was on the fall out. Season 3 can't be more of the same either they go for it or they don't. Really looking forward to seeing the eps as it appears that this half of season 2 was alot better as a whole than the first half. Link to comment
beetlesoda September 13, 2015 Share September 13, 2015 I must say though one of the things the later episodes of the this do was make me care more about this show as a whole. Its no longer just the girls I was actually intrested in Liam's storyline for once. I loved all the little storylines here and there I loved seeing the parents and wouldn't mind more of them. And of course seeing oliver and his recreation of Amy as Jaime was fantastic sometimes the show gets the comedy just right lol I didn't mind Felix at all. Fav episodes were faking it again and the breakfast club one favorite scene was the scene Amy went away for the summer and karma tried to stop her Link to comment
Cranberry September 13, 2015 Author Share September 13, 2015 Yeah, I didn't mind Liam as much this half-season because he wasn't front and center, and when he did have a story, it didn't revolve around Karma. The only Liam-related thing that annoyed me was Karma not taking that $250k cheque to stay away from him. She could really use that money. He should have helped her work something out ("Stay away from me for a while, and then we'll secretly be friends later") instead of guilt-tripping her about how she'd never even think about accepting money to stay away from Amy. (Oh, and I didn't like that he slept with Sasha, but she's the adult and I put most of the blame for that on her.) I liked that it felt like more of an ensemble show than before. It did feel mostly like Karma's season (and I'm not complaining; this half-season made me like her more), but everyone else got more fleshed out -- we met Shane's family, all of the characters dated new people, and we got some fun combinations of characters (Amy and Lauren as real sisters being my favorite). beetlesoda September 13, 2015 Share September 13, 2015 I didn't like how Amy brought that check up tbh I know they were revealing secrets but I don't thought that was too much since she found it digging in karmas purse. And yes I was wondering why Liam just didnt compromise with her especially when he heard her situation, understand where she's coming from I mean the girl still lives in a juice truck. Karma had the joke to the season for me when she referred to Amy as Reagan while they were trying out prom dresses that made me laugh I liked Lauren tommy Theo too surprisingly, Tommy was kinda winning me over a bit cuz Theo seemed to stuck in the basement all the time Link to comment

fkingfan22 September 17, 2015 Share September 17, 2015 Well, I think this season was okay. I think that all of what happened it´s part of what´s coming next in the show. I will always be a Faking it fan so I´ll never stop watching no matter what happen, the end of this season it´s very emotional but I think it was the best for Amy, she needed that, even though, it´s a little dissapointment for karmy fans and I am one. I really like Felix´s character, it´s a good addition to the show, I hope they can develop more his story in season 3 and I see him more like a good friend for Amy, not a romantic partner. I don´t know if i can still have hope for karmy to happen, but I think I will, everything that it´s happening needs to have a reason. I don´t know what can we expect for season 3, and maybe it´s too early. But if there´s something I know, It´s that there´s more story to tell. This is a journey. As for the other characters I always enjoy whatching Lauren and Shane´s story, they are very funny. Nothing really big happens with Liam. Please, if you already watch all the episodes, keep watching them when they air on Monday´s. It´s important for the show because of the ratings. If you are a true fan you´ll understand. 1 Link to comment
ybrik September 20, 2015 Share September 20, 2015 Watched the eps and really did enjoy the season. This was definitely an improvement on 2A and felt closer to season one. Will enjoy re-watching them each week. A few stray thoughts on the season: It seems like Farrah has a type as Bruce and Amy's dad look a lot alike. Glad Tommy was back he is usually good for a laugh. Felix and his dad's speaking pattern started to annoy by the end of the season. In the next ep when Amy and Lauren bring up that there parents aren't Emmy winners and then Bruce comes in, I wonder if that was an inside joke since the actor has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy. The check issue bugged me too. So Liam gets to shove it in his father's face and Karma still lives outside in a fruit truck. They aren't together so she still could have gotten it. I also think it bugs me because I was always annoyed how it was presented that Liam gave up his art to get Karma and family released. The reality was he gave up his art and joined the company so he wouldn't get cut off. Once Karma and her family was released he could have done his art and moved out and lived with Shane which he ends up doing anyway. Liam and Shane's sister didn't work for a lot of reasons. The biggest personal reason is that I am so used to seeing the actress as one type of character on PLL and she is completely different here. I don't mean gay either. I mean I can't really see her as the seductress that she was supposed to be. Also the whole six year age difference was problem not because of them sleeping together but because she doesn't look six years older then any of them. Felix wasn't that bad. The actor isn't the greatest but he is on par with most of the male actors on the show. Also glad that he never really was pushed as a major love interest with Amy. They work as friends but there really wasn't any kind of romantic chemistry. Even at the end of the season when he and Amy sort of go out it felt like Amy didn't have any interest in him till Karma told her that he liked her. It was like she tried to use a relationship with Felix to try to ignore her feelings for Karma. I wonder if Carter and his husband decided that they were going to do biphobia awareness. I just seems weird that both of their shows are doing it. Many thoughts on Karma and Amy. I do have more hope for them oddly. I understand people's frustrations. However, I did see Karma basically saying she can't let herself admit what she is feeling whether than just denying that she has feelings. She is trying to hold on to their fantasy future that they have had since they were kids so hard that she is ignoring anything that could endanger it. This separation is needed and hopefully do some good. 3 Link to comment
Free September 23, 2015 Share September 23, 2015 Definitely better as a binge watch, that and it was better than 2a. The show reminded me of Awkward. in its glory days before it turned out the way it did. Link to comment
beetlesoda October 4, 2015 Share October 4, 2015 OK there's a released photo going around and it shows Karma in the finale wide awake when Shane and Amy were talking about what the kiss could possibly mean. If I was only 90% sure Karma has feelings for Amy before I am now 95% sure I just don't understand why Karma is acting like she don't remember it when talking with Liam unless the writers went a different direction last minute Link to comment
