I definitely enjoyed the original.....  I'm not too keen on a sequel series though.  I have a memory of one in the late 90s

It's already been a tv series, lol. Although that one didn't incorporate the events of the movie. I did always see Miss Match as the spiritual sequel to Clueless.

I've seen sequel series that were amazing and sequel series that were horrible.  What it comes down to is do they understand that legacy fans will be watching and want compelling stories about the characters they grew up with?

The most obvious way to do this is have it be partially about the next generation. Saved By the Bell on Peacock did an excellent job of balancing the older generation and the younger generation. Girl Meets World completely messed up that aspect of the series.
