The weird thing about tonight's show was the car. Since they couldn't see the license plate, all mentions of the car disappeared. Somebody must have tried to put Jackson in a silver Monte Carlo, why not any mention, even if it leads nowhere.

Secondly, these life insurance policies make no sense whatsoever. No way those people put out that type of money for a guy in his 30's unless they knew he wasn't going to be around very long. Add in the forged signatures, IMO that's enough to convict them both right there. Then pile on the cell phone evidence, one wonders what the DA is waiting for.

Gotta wonder if Larry and Latarsha were watching tonight. (Or any of the suspects from any episodes, for that matter.) What's running through their minds?  Two policies is nuts. And she was paying $400 a month?? Admittedly, only a couple of months, but still.  Poor man. I hope Latarsha sings and they both end up in jail.  It's a special place for former cops...

I was disappointed that the case hadn't even made it to the DA yet. Looks pretty tight to me.

I agree about the case being tight.  However, the car thing, at least no further mention of it, stuck out like a sore thumb. I would assume that they would check vehicle registrations to see if the suspects or people in the family/co-workers/friends/neighbors owned that kind of car. (I mean that in the sense of the suspect's could have possibly borrowed a car from someone).   The detectives were like, "the camera didn't catch the the license plate"  THE END.

Side Note: Many times on other shows, even though it is tedious, detectives/investigators will (especially if they have murder time established), check all exit route directions for a few miles. They check for any public and/or security cameras on businesses to see if there is any possible recording of the specific vehicle passing by.

Oh well, they seemed pretty diligent.  They have probably checked it out and it led nowhere or it's something that they are not releasing to the public.

Good point.  Maybe it's the secret piece of evidence they sometimes hold back until the trial.

It's been 24 hours.  Where's my update?!?!

Now that I know stores video shoppers (which, I knew they watched, I didn't know they recorded and saved), I'm rethinking how badly I dress whenever I go to a big box. I should wear actual pants, instead of loungers. I probably won't, but I should.

The tag line said the Ds were 'waiting on an appointment to present' to the DA. If this was January, what the hell kind of schedule does the DA have, that it takes more than 2 months to get a freaking appointment?!?

I bet Kelly's done that batch-of-pencils demonstration lots in her career. I know we've seen it before on CJ. It's an effective metaphor for a jury; I bet she was teaching it to the Hialeah peeps.

So I saw a news article that says Larry Jackson is I'm prison for murdering Latarsha. Is that the end of this story and if it is, is it because he thought she was going to end up telling?
