But I'm ready to speculate.  The previews seems to hint that cookie got out early for a reason. She's working with a cop to bring down who?  I don't know if serving 17 years of a 30 year sentence is normal but the mention of it made my ears perk up.  I suppose good behaviour could explain it but I keep going back to the line "You're going to get me killed."

Also? After Cookie walked into the board meeting and   made her demands of Luscious, how could he not give a slight side-eye to Andre?  He and Cookie were okay  when Lu last saw her, so now she's holding the SEC and the IPO over his head? Cookie's not dumb, but that was some specific wording, which hit Lu's buttons. I hope that we see Luscious getting cautious about saying anything to Andre specifically because of Cookie's threat.

 

I would like the script Luscious intends to get flipped and once one son is named, he adds his brothers as co-execs. The line that keeps getting hammered is the "I can only leave it [ the titular empire] to only one of you." No, Luscious, you don't. You can give it to whoever you wish. Now, if there is some business reason why, maybe, but I doubt that's the case. Appointing the other brothers doesn't ensure harmony, but it would be action against the man who has tried to micromanage their lives.. While the brothers aren't lockstep, that also doesn't mean the company will become a shambles in his absence/ the "wrong" son being in charge.

  My unspoiled spec is that instead of putting up with being played against each other by their parents, Jamal and Hakeem might join forces and tell them that they won't be caught in the middle of their war forever and as much as they love them, if they keep forcing the issue, they might consider either going to another label or starting their own as soon as their contracts are up.
