katisha Sunday at 12:37 PM Share Sunday at 12:37 PM @Snazzy Daisy, I feel like I should know who those guys are but I have no clue. Why are they famous? Ben, NEVER do that to me again! 😨 That was too damn close for comfort. Prince Harry II saved your butt by making a terrible choice of dish for the length of the challenge. You need to find your mojo again and if that means no pin, then get rid of it! I can't decide who was more annoying on the gantry - Laura with her never-ending verbal diarrohea or Depinder with her, "(Insert contestant name), that smells EPIC!" It's bad enough that we have to constantly hear that word from Andy! For a change someone actually cooked some dishes I actually wanted to eat - Samira's looked really yummy and so did Alana's. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153757-s17w06-e20-e23/#findComment-8675911

I am only familiar with John Demetrios as he's the winner of Dessert Masters 2024. He was the underdog and I was rooting for him from the beginning. He's a very creative and talented dessert professional. Always smiling. Based on Uncle Google, Andy Cooks is a NZ born chef, YouTuber and cookbook author. He has millions of followers on YT, IG and TikTok. His YT channel — LINK. I thought Sooshi Mango is very famous in Aussie. Snazzy Daisy Sunday at 08:31 PM Author Share Sunday at 08:31 PM S17•E20 — Butter Elimination Challenge I could be the only #MasterChefAU fan who doesn’t have butter in my fridge. If Laura’s cooking, I bet she’ll be making pasta with burnt butter sauce. 🙄 Alana makes her own butter in the LURPAK challenge. The nerves. The judges want to see creativity and Sarah decides to make butter chicken that she has cooked 1000x before. It’s groundbreaking! 🙄 Can Samira cook dishes other than Middle Eastern? Beau has done a good job at trying something new. JC thinks that it’s the best dish in his repertoire. He has been rewarded with extra airtime. 😆 STFU Laura!!! Leave Benny and his immunity pin alone. Why do you care? 🙄 This lady knows how to insert herself into other people’s airtime. FFS. Ballsy Benny has dodged a massive bullet. He gives me heart palpitations! 😣 Bye bye Prince Harry’s brother Tim. You should’ve made an overly-buttered toastie! On a shallow note, since when are the contestants allowed to wear sleeveless? 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153757-s17w06-e20-e23/#findComment-8676128

It's up there with saying, in a Curtis Stone challenge, that you would rather use produce from Woolies! 🤣 (For the non-Aussies, we have two main supermarket chains. Woolworths (or Woolies, as we call it because we must shorten every word) is the other one!) Pretty sure that they specifically said only LURPAK butter makes everything better 🤣 More extremely obvious pimping of Laura yet again (I mean, how much more obvious can they make their preference for her)? But don't they realise that Laura doesn't NEED an Italian challenge because for her, every challenge is an Italian challenge (or at least a pasta challenge)? I realised that I had seen a few clips of Sooshi Mango on FB and I find them quite funny. I'm half-Croatian, not Italian, but I grew up around a lot of people with various European accents and a lot of them really did speak like that! And my grandmother even used to dress similarly i.e. a cotton dress with a cardi! I chuckled when, after Sarah said she didn't like pasta, one of the "nonnas" said that she must be possessed by the devil! Glad to see Ben got some mojo back tonight. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153757-s17w06-e20-e23/#findComment-8676909
Snazzy Daisy Monday at 09:20 PM Author Share Monday at 09:20 PM S17•E21 — Sooshi Mango Mystery Box Challenge A clusterfuck — the best word to describe this episode. A dose of fuckery and mockery that nobody asks for. Hate the guests. It’s 2025. Dudes in nonna drag aren’t funny anymore. Hate the theme. The producers are making it super easy for Laura and Andre. Her smug face is insufferable. I love Sarah for saying she doesn’t like pasta. 🤣 Congrats Skippy Beau! The “nonnas” love your Pistachio and Cinnamon Cannolis. Well done, Benny. I’d eat your Golden Crispy Croquette with Basil Mayo. Good luck with tomorrow’s pressure test. Looking forward to seeing John Demetrios again! 😘 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153757-s17w06-e20-e23/#findComment-8677186

katisha Tuesday at 01:09 PM Share Tuesday at 01:09 PM Damn that pink balloon scuppering Ben's chances today but I am okay with that because Snez beat Laura! 🥳🎉 Andre was being more annoying than usual too. He really likes to push this "I am a quirky original...I do NOT like following recipes!" It will bring him undone sooner or later. So the challenge tomorrow night is to make a viral sandwich? Let's expect pasta on bread from Laura and Andre, then! Re my screenshot...hmm! Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153757-s17w06-e20-e23/#findComment-8677695
Snazzy Daisy Wednesday at 12:55 AM Author Share Wednesday at 12:55 AM S17•E22 — John Demetrios’ Chocolate Meteor Pressure Test for Immunity The balloon is the new fishbone! 🤣 Should the balloon be sprayed with something before coating it with chocolate? It feels like there’s a missing step there. Andre approaches this challenge with the wrong mindset and attitude. The result is chaos. It annoys me that he is so unserious, he has no interest in learning whatsoever. Again, there’s too much Laura that I can handle. She says that she’s blocking all the noises as she needs to concentrate on her dessert. But when she’s on the gantry, she keeps interrupting people down there, asking this, commenting that. What a bitch! 🙄 I am no longer a fan of Snez after that Sydney pub service challenge. But I am OK with her winning the immunity, as long as it’s NOT Laura. I hope Ben does learn something from this pressure test — do not get comfortable. I am worried that at this point in the competition, Ben has started to lose momentum and the burnout kicks in. God forbid. 🤞🏻 I love that John puts an effort to set an intimidating pressure test for these guys, especially the balloon technique. It’s lovely to see him in MC kitchen again. 💙 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153757-s17w06-e20-e23/#findComment-8678128
TVbitch Wednesday at 12:55 AM Share Wednesday at 12:55 AM Tim was finally put out of his misery. I guess his 9 lives ran out! Never heard of those mango guys (I'm from U.S.) and don't have any nonnas, so wasn't sure if it was supposed to be funny or what? I was just horrified that there were now SEVEN judges I had to listen to! I feel like Laura is just cooking through her recipe repertoire and making up whatever story so that it fits the brief. I can't stand listening to her anymore! 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153757-s17w06-e20-e23/#findComment-8678129

katisha Wednesday at 12:36 PM Share Wednesday at 12:36 PM I have to say I'm pleased Declan was the one to win immunity in round 2 today. I like that he's still able to show humility which I find a lot easier to relate to than Andre's braggadocio, and I don't think Jamie's exactly lacking in the ego department either. Well, they do say all the best chefs are type A potential lunatics like Gordon Ramsay and it makes sense in terms of the industry, but that doesn't mean I want to watch that on TV! Andre particularly annoys me, making out like his food is SO out there that he doesn't think the poor judges will be able to understand it. Urgh. 😖 And most of the time it's Italian food so that's about as groundbreaking as what Laura does. Speaking of Laura, it seems more than a few viewers think the powers that be are trying to telegraph a Laura win by giving her SOOOOO much extra air time. I also feel the judges were right to tell Sarah that while her dish was interesting, it was NOT a sandwich. I concur! 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153757-s17w06-e20-e23/#findComment-8678357

Snazzy Daisy Thursday at 01:19 AM Author Share Thursday at 01:19 AM S17•E23 — Sambo Showdown Immunity Challenge Having a sandwich challenge after they eliminated Tim — the toastie king is just cold. Since the dating rumor surfaced, we have gotten to see little moments between Sarah and Declan. There are Easter Eggs here and there. Today, they share the same back bench and he drinks from her water bottle. 🔹ROUND 1🔹 Samira is pushing herself by making her own bread, but her Muhammara Beef Wrap is not good enough to take her to round 2. The concept of Sarah’s Bacon & Egg Papadom “Sandwich” is just stupid. It’s not even a sandwich because there’s only one papadom. She cannot put her fillings in between 2 papadoms because they will turn soggy. Her “sandwich” has to be eaten with a spoon. We know she hates pasta. Does she hate bread too? All carbs, huh? Jamie’s Croque Madame Sandwich is not to be eaten with two hands. It will get messy AF. Ben, Callum, Depinder and Beau aren’t featured today, but they continue giving us Laura. FFS. 😒 🔹ROUND 2🔹 Lobby-Lair for immunity. Congrats Declan! He’s making good use of Emelia’s choux recipe. 😆 Jamie’s Mexican/Korean dish is forgettable because it’s already out there. You can find the dish in various Korean food outlets. It’s pasta again for Andre. He intentionally complicates the brief and acts like it’s a wacky idea because he is soooooooooo creative. It’s obvious that Andre’s coping mechanism is to giggle it out, but on screen, it makes him appear unserious. His mad scientist persona will backfire one day. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153757-s17w06-e20-e23/#findComment-8678778
