AnimeMania May 21 Share May 21 (edited) Determined to keep Amelia (Blu Hunt) out of harm's way, Holmes (David Thewlis) sends her back to the relative safety of undercover work. While Holmes searches for answers about the missing jewels, Amelia learns that in this society, the most dangerous place for a lady may just be a debutante ball. AnimeMania May 22 Author Share May 22 The ladder didn't seem that high and since she was wearing 30 petticoats, I was surprised that they didn't cushion her fall, but instead she died. I was half expecting the petticoats to act like a parachute and she would float down like Mary Poppins. Victoria shouldn't be teaching the girls the life lesson of how to keep your chin up, but how to "tuck and roll". I am surprised that Victoria's reputation didn't take a major hit from the death since the girl probably had "some" high standing in the community. And then again when a young woman in abducted right from the doorstep of one of her society gatherings. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153677-s01e05-doubting-thomas/#findComment-8668635
Cress May 23 Share May 23 Seeing Holmes work that phone like an expert was fun. He also seems to be more concerned about Amelia, and more apt to apologize to her. I like that told Dan Moriarty to stay away, to protect Amelia. Holmes has started sharing information with Bertie, and Bertie says that Amelia was born six months after the Wild West show left London. That's a lot less than Lady Violet claimed. Amelia overheard Clara's father talking to presumably Lady Violet, but then he also mentioned getting the insurance company to pay for the jewels. How can Violet force the insurance company to do anything? It's confusing. I'm glad the kidnappers didn't get away with Amelia, but I think Dan Moriarty might get in trouble for shooting that guy. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153677-s01e05-doubting-thomas/#findComment-8669313

Except that the young woman who was abducted was a servant, which in their world means someone who doesn't actually matter. 1 hour ago, Cress said: I'm glad the kidnappers didn't get away with Amelia, but I think Dan Moriarty might get in trouble for shooting that guy. I doubt Dan will get in trouble because he could easily claim he did it to prevent a kidnapping, and there are multiple witnesses who can attest to that. I'm curious if Dan is being honest; is all he wants information on his father or there is something more going on? 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153677-s01e05-doubting-thomas/#findComment-8669340
