In a universe where The Eternals never stopped The Emergence, the birth of an incubating Celestial shatters the Earth. Civilization endures on the rocky remnants of our planet, where Quentin Beck leads an authoritarian regime until freedom fighters recruit Riri Williams on a deadly mission to take him down.

Premiere Date: December 26, 2024   Disney+

Jeffrey Wright as Uatu / The Watcher
Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams / Ironheart
Alejandro Saab as Quentin Beck / Mysterio
Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter
Tessa Thompson as  Brunnhilde / Valkyrie
Michelle Yeoh as Ying Nan
Paul Bettany as White Vision

Outside of Dominique Thorne, Tessa Thompson, and Emily VanCamp briefly popping back up as Sharon Carter, almost none of the film cast was here this go around.  The actress playing Ying Nan did a solid imitation of Michelle Yeoh at least.

I swear, I feel like I've heard about a Riri/Ironheart show for ages but it never has come to fruition yet.  Are they actually done filming for it yet and just waiting for a release date?

The Watcher is now being watched!  By a being voiced by Jason Issacs none the less!

Essentially done for a long time although they keep modifying/editing it to better fit in Disney's core values. Disney really wanted to tie the TV series to its other Ironman related property, War Machine which never really materialized, first War Machine was a TV Series, then a movie, and now roughly vaporware. Long story short:

Ironheart        June 24, 2025     Disney+   6 episodes

So after the Emergence happened, the planet was broken into somehow still livable chunks, the Eternals have left cause their mission is over, and of course the baby Celestial has left too. Makes sense, but I assumed from the title that this was going to be an Eternals-heavy plot.

The timing on this alternate timeline is pretty tight though; Vision is around which presumably means Avengers 2 happened. And with Mysterio's control of the Iron Legion, the most likely route to that is if Far From Home happened and Peter gave Beck the EDITH glasses.

I wonder why Ying Nan didn't just stay in Ta Lo. Isn't it in an alternate dimension? Would it even have been affected by the Celestial destroying regular Earth?

Also, lotta Star Wars vibes in this episode. Mysterio/Quentin Beck looked a bit Palpatine-ish and even used what might as well be Force Lightning. There's a rebel Alliance and they have a plucky run in their flying RV.
