Lantern7 December 12, 2024 Share December 12, 2024 (edited) Hmmm. If you were to think that James Gunn is “woke,” you might feel that he’s comparing a certain portion of Americans with one of the country’s greatest enemies past and present. I fail to see a problem with that. 😈😈😈 I read some of Sgt. Rock’s stories, and I can’t see GI Robot hanging with Easy Company. I had a good laugh at the massacre flashback scene, though. Bonus deep cut: Dr. Magnus, canon creator of the Metal Men. From the ending and the teaser for next week, I’m thinking the Princess is fated to doom mankind. Now . . . why would Circe recruit incels and make ‘em wear caps with “SofT” on them? Perhaps she has a great sense of political humor. Also, it’s amusing that one of her weaknesses turned out to be a humanoid furry biting at her neck. ItCouldBeWorse December 13, 2024 Share December 13, 2024 I'm guessing that Nina will eventually play a crucial role in some episode, but right now, it's a miracle she hasn't been fried. Was it really worth taking extra time to chain up the Bride and imprison Nina in a bathtub to delay the rest of the squad from returning to the castle? Let's say it took 20 minutes to do that, and 20 minutes for the Commandos to find and free them. The Sons of Themyscira could have just returned to the castle 20 minutes earlier, and the Commandos would have found the dead females, and returned perhaps after 10 minutes instead of 20. So, the SoT guys would have lost the 10 extra minutes, but the Bride would have been permanently gone as an enemy. 8 hours ago, Lantern7 said: Now . . . why would Circe recruit incels and make ‘em wear caps with “SofT” on them? Could Circe have permanently changed the Bride into a frog, instead of disabling her arms? After Weasel and Dr. Phosphorus got off of her, why didn't she blast them all to bits as she did to GI Robot? Someone with magic powers should really have a huge advantage, and be basically unbeatable. I guess now we are going to find out that she was just using the SoT and is really a good guy after all (which is why she didn't kill the Bride or Nina.) And how/why the drooling Queen set up the Princess. 8 hours ago, Lantern7 said: Bonus deep cut: Dr. Magnus, canon creator of the Metal Men. Would love to see the Metal Men in action. They would make a great animated series. And maybe animate The Doom Patrol! Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151060-s01e03-cheers-to-the-tin-man/#findComment-8531558

A darker, more comic-accurate version, like the recent live-action version, would be great. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151060-s01e03-cheers-to-the-tin-man/#findComment-8531655

Back when DC had Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series running on Cartoon Network, there would also be very short stories featuring various heroes. Doom Patrol had three.
