Snazzy Daisy December 7 Author Share December 7 The London setting right before Christmas is purposefully interesting. It’s festive but moody. A pretty standard web of lies and mysteries have been setup with the deaths of Ambassador Chen, Jason Davies, Maggie Jones and Phillip Bray, plus the dead ambassador’s missing daughter. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150935-s01e01-to-love-then/#findComment-8526991
Anela December 8 Share December 8 I’m watching this, and she tells someone that she was this man’s partner, when she’s openly the wife of a politician. She must appear in the news at times, especially with him possibly being a future PM. I also wonder why they go to a movie, to talk about spy stuff. They attract attention there, too. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150935-s01e01-to-love-then/#findComment-8527556

It was convenient, then, that Jason’s landlord was murdered a short time later. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150935-s01e01-to-love-then/#findComment-8527791
MissLucas December 9 Share December 9 What about her fingerprints in Jason's rooms amidst a murder scene? Was there a clean-up I missed? And how did Sam know where to find her in the first place? And Sam was out of town for seven years yet still knew the two assassins names. I'm intrigued but not entirely sold. And while I'm interested in the Sam and Helen's backstory I could do with less mopey flashbacks . Helen was in love with Jason, we get it. And I guess Michael somehow figured out that Sam was not in insurances. I'd rather know why Sam is so fiercely loyal to Helen. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150935-s01e01-to-love-then/#findComment-8528753
chaifan Friday at 10:44 PM Share Friday at 10:44 PM Eh, I wasn't overly impressed, and I usually like a good spy thriller. There just seemed to be too many supposedly smart people doing stupid things. If 3 people are so efficiently executed, especially the one guy out in the open from long range, why are Helen and Sam not being more careful that they, too, aren't being followed when they're investigating these murders? If I just shot someone from some open window ledge, I'd set up across the street to see who comes to that ledge looking around, and then I'd shoot them, too. Oh, and I suppose I'd also pick up my shell casings. (Another stupid thing.) Anyone could have followed her to the movie theater and taken out her and the boss lady. (Who I just loved as Julia Childs!) Did Helen go home all covered in blood? ew. I guess I'll find out eventually, but right now it looks like Helen was recruited as a Black Dove, then met her politician husband, who wasn't as high ranking. She wanted to leave the marriage, but then had kids, then hubby got promoted and she had access to intel, so she stuck around. Do I have that right? She called him, and he conveniently was able to get over there in the time it took the two fake policewomen to get up a set of stairs. OK, I might not be able to identify the spouses of the top 5 or 10 US Senators, or whatever. But it's at least possible that I might, especially if I lived in DC. So I thought that was pretty stupid. I'll stick around for Episode 2, hoping we get to Helen's recruitment quick, because I saw a clip on that and it looked interesting.
