I'm finding it hard to root for anyone on this show besides Gertrudis. Tita's a fool, Rosaura's a hateful shrew, Mama Elena is extremely bitter (for good reason, but damn, it's not her daughter's fault), and Pedro's just an clueless ass.

I don't really understand the whole bit with the rebels and the...not rebels, but Pedro's uncle is a monster. Pedro's father isn't much better.

I like this show for the visual beauty, but it's very frustrating to watch people be so stupid.

Now we know why Mama Elena has been so resentful towards Tita. It’s understandable but that’s not Tita’s fault.

Gertrudis is Jose’s daughter. That explains her exotic look and why she is Mama Elena’s favorite daughter.

Love and sexual desire shouldn’t be contained. These feelings will grow stronger the more they’re being repressed. Mama Elena should know better after what she has experienced with Jose. When she continues to put “d!ck embargo” on Tita, it proves that she is just a mean, bitter woman.

I thought last week Tita should run away with the nice doctor. He treats her more respectfully than Pedro.

That turkey mole looked delicious.

Max is continuing to switch the show to dubbed dialog in the middle of the episode, just for a scene or two, then it changes back to Spanish. This has happened for 3 episodes now.
