Snazzy Daisy November 28 Share November 28 Quote Dr. Blake arrives from Langley and is put to a test by Martian and Henry. A spooked source threatens to put an operation at risk. Danny's cover is put in play. Martian, overtaken by events, begins to question Sami's motives. Air Date: Nov 29, 2024 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150874-s01e02-wooden-duck/

Snazzy Daisy November 30 Author Share November 30 Martian claims his act of losing his security detail is his way of training them. Another lie! I love Martian’s security detail — Grandma and Grandpa. These guys are weirdly funny. 😆 Sami and her disappearing act in London is shady. At this point, the only interesting storyline revolves around Martian. Curious to find out why Martian is hospitalized in a future scene. I hope the other subplots — Coyote’s disappearance, Danny’s new mission, the Felix ops in Ukraine, Dr. Blake’s psych evaluation will develop into compelling narratives. I also want to see more of Richard Gere’s Bosko. For now, all he does is cursing and yelling to his subordinates. Cementhead December 2 Share December 2 I was really looking forward to this show based on this synopsis from Paramount: "The series follows Martian (Fassbender), a covert CIA agent ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites." That show would have been enough for me. I was all in at that. I could do without the extra subplots involving the other spies and covert assignments gone sideways worldwide. This is too in the weeds for me to watch right now. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150874-s01e02-wooden-duck/#findComment-8522792
Crashcourse December 3 Share December 3 I agree, too many subplots and other people involved. I tried watching this, but watching Fassbender is like watching paint dry. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150874-s01e02-wooden-duck/#findComment-8523772

The others are a little confusing, but I still enjoy them. I agree that Sami is looking quite shady. Even when she first mentioned that she also happened to be in London, I got suspicious. Funny that Martian never did. And yes, all Richard Gere does so far is walk around yell. Reminds me of Jeremy Sisto on FBI: "Listen up, people!"
