It’s too bad neither Pedro nor Rosauro died. Tita could have raised the baby without either’s toxic presence.

This made me realize that this show is just not doing justice at all to the source material. Rosaura is nowhere near an unhinged, psychotic bitch (but I agree that that would be an accurate assessment of Show Rosaura). Adding the thing about her intercepting Pedro's letters made no sense and it only served to turn the layered and nuanced Tita/Rosaura relationship into something that would fit in better in a telenovela (Tita would never have spoken to her the way she did in the kitchen right before Rosaura goes into labour, not because Tita is a pushover but because she was never that immature and possessive about Pedro marrying Rosaura). At least they did justice to the scene where she delivers Roberto, which was what I was most looking forward to/anxious about.
