There's a choice if you click on the 3 dots to the right to embed the post...except all I got when I tried to do that was a lot of gibberish text.  Hmmmmmmmmmm

I wanted to see if it would embed here automatically as YouTube and Twitter do. I'm wondering if that's something a moderator would have to set up.

It's good to know that the link worked and that people who aren't on BlueSky were able to see it, so thanks for that feedback @SoMuchTV. I just chose a random post I'd seen. That one was about off-season baseball news.

@ebk57 I didn't see any option to embed. I just copied the URL using the share function. I shared from the app and I was on my phone. When you saw the embed option, were you on a computer? If so, what browser?

I am on the computer.  Someone on another board did mention that the embed option was only on the computer version (I use Chrome), but it didn't seem to work here.  And since I only signed up yesterday, I haven't tried to post anywhere else yet.

It’s whether the platform allows it. Twitter and YouTube do. Instagram, for example, does not. And anything else that doesn’t embed.

It’s automatic, either it does or it doesn’t, depending on the platform.
