sugarbaker design November 15 Share November 15 The client is refusing to pay for the first hit? The pinwheel helped indicate the direction of the wind? Just two of my many questions! Link to comment
magdalene November 15 Share November 15 I have a big problem already with the series in that I have taken a big dislike to the police officer hunting him. I don't take too well to to the law breaking the law and an innocent paying the ultimate price for that cows ambition in prison. Also, I am not too heart-broken about some disgusting nazi getting his head blown off. So until the Jackal actually starts killing puppies and orphans I will be not actively rooting against the baddie in this. My grandfather had the book and showed me the Edward Fox adaptation years ago - Redmayne reminds me a bit in looks of Fox. And Redmayne also has that particular cold precision and competence down very well. Fox's Jackal remained an enigma to the end. I bet this new version will be more fleshed out because this is a series. Link to comment

He stiffed him for the entire payment which seems a death sentence for the client if the Jackal is half as skilled and ruthless as he comes across. I too thought the pinwheel was for the wind direction. I am not an expert though. 1 Link to comment
Snazzy Daisy November 15 Author Share November 15 The “unboxing” of the Jackal (from Ralf - an old German guy) is actually quite fascinating. The practice shots on the hospital concrete seem unrealistic. There would be sound of the impact/damage that will alert the security team. Is the Jackal using a magical silencer and bullets or something? After killing Manfred, the Jackal stashed a bomb under his hotel bed and hits the fire alarm on his way out. Saving the innocents but killing the authorities? Am not interested in the brash and outspoken Bianca Pullman and her family drama. Am not a fan of the actress either. Bianca lacks compassion and vulnerability. She treats her asset (Alison) and her daughter (Emma) like sh!t. The “Fuck You” message from a client who refuses to pay for the Munich job will lead to something interesting… Link to comment

I find the music quite obtrusive. 1 Link to comment

dancingdreamer November 17 Share November 17 Just watched the first episode, we really enjoyed it. I always enjoy Redmayne. A bullet going that fast, wouldn't make much sound, like a knife through butter. 1 Link to comment

TV Anonymous Monday at 04:01 PM Share Monday at 04:01 PM Hey, Agent Pullman, the supposedly rifle expert of the MI6 had her facts wrong. She stated that the world record of sniper kill was 3 540m and it was recorded in Ukraine. The world record is indeed recorded in Ukraine by a member of Security Service of Ukraine. The distance however, is 3 800m. The 3 540m distance is the second longest sniper kill. It is recorded by a member of Canadian JTF-2 in Iraq. Link to comment
