Snazzy Daisy November 10 Share November 10 Joe is losing it. She has to be reminded to lower her tone and volume when talking to her superiors. 🤦🏻♀️ Quote “I ain’t wearing any fucking dresses.” Yesssss!!! Cruz is back, baby. 😘💙 What’s with the scrutinizing look between Cruz and Josie? Do they know each other? 👀 When Joe asks Josie to fire at the incoming cops, do they assume that those cops work for the cartel? Joe gives a tracker to that little girl to be put in her shoe. I hope we will get an update whether they’re being rescued or not. QRT team has seen and experienced the worst. It’s gripping to see them taken aback by what they find in that warehouse. Quite a striking ending. There’s a parallel between Neal’s surgery and Joe’s operation. They both operate on bad intel, no idea what they’re getting into and come across something unexpected. 3 Link to comment
SeanBug November 11 Share November 11 (edited) I really liked this episode. I don't blame Joe for being upset. She didn't pick Josie, and now she can't trust her. Apparently a lot of police forces in Mexico are controlled by the cartels, in that their families are threatened if they don't go along. I remember this being brought up in Narcos, which was based on true stories of busting cartels. And, no one realized the cartel has a side hustle? If DEA has that warehouse under surveillance, they never saw the young girls and children being brought in? Kirk Acevedo!! Love it. Edited November 11 by SeanBug 2 Link to comment
dwmarch November 11 Share November 11 This feels like Clear and Present Danger with all the inter-agency bickering. In fact, there's a similar scene in the book where a Navy officer figures out what is going on because the CIA isn't being particularly discreet. I also feel like some of this drama may be to lull actual cartels into a false sense of security. I remember reading an article from someone in the intelligence community that said post 9/11 all agencies were mandated to share intel. This led to situations where a local police force would get a heads up from the NSA saying "we can't tell you how we know but we think you should stop this particular vehicle and check what is in the cargo area." For the purposes of the show I guess we are intended to suppose that these agencies have all crawled back into their own silos but in real life I'd be surprised if the DEA's data was a month out of date. 9 hours ago, Snazzy Daisy said: There’s a parallel between Neal’s surgery and Joe’s operation. The other parallel being "we don't do this because we love it, we do this because it needs to be done." 9 hours ago, Snazzy Daisy said: Joe is losing it. He's a very important part of her team but Joe has to keep being reminded that they are on the same team. I guess it will be more meaningful at the end when they all go in for a group hug or something. Link to comment

I keep thinking we had a couple misdirects with Joe being scared by the van that pulled up to the lemonade stand the girls were running, and when she came home and Neal couldn't hear her yelling because he had headphones on. Like, third time she'll blow it off and someone will be in the house. Link to comment

I really enjoyed it as well, although the overall mission of the season is confusing. Are they trying to bring down the soldier's dad? Are they tackling one (or more) of the Mexican cartels with their team of 5-6? Something else? And why is there a Joe and a Josie?? (And I'm speaking as a person who uses both of those nicknames. It's really bugging me). On 11/10/2024 at 1:01 PM, Snazzy Daisy said: Yesssss!!! Cruz is back, baby. 😘💙 Agreed. I like her on this show. Who is Cruz replacing? Joe said they were down a man. Or did she mean "We need to add another [wo] man"? Link to comment
