Folks I just loved the energy Tim Miller brought to this episode.  He provided sharp insight and humor while challenging Bill on some of his assumptions.  Refreshing to have a sober-minded Republican voice on the show.

Bill keeps bragging about his prediction that Trump wouldn't leave office in 2021. But Bill, he did voluntarily leave office. You were wrong! And you weren't just saying he'd never concede. You were asking guests such as Amy Klobuchar how to physically get him out of there when he refuses to leave. It was a completely wrong prediction.

Also he said something like "do I wish Kamala would assert a better reason to run other than 'I'm not Trump? Yes." How idiotic. Kamala has put forth a plethora of policies for the good of people and she spends most of the time on her speeches talking policy. Bill is way over his head in talking politics, though he thinks he's a genius.

I can't believe he made such a big deal about Biden's "garbage" comment, which was a repub distortion that the media bought in on. The only people still bringing that up at this point are MAGA folks and real dumb folks. And he said nothing about Trump's guns pointed at Liz Cheney's head comment. Really really bad judgment by Bill. Reflects serious underlying cognitive problems growing.

Was paying half attention.

Seemed like he tried to defend Hinchcliffe, as an insult comic.

He thinks the "woke mind virus" is a lot worse than racist "jokes."  Says if Harris loses it will be because of the WMV.

Not surprising that he's more inclined to give the comic the benefit of the doubt than the reaction to the comic's utterances.

Well this comic "joked" about all ethnic groups except white people.

Also Trump called Harris' supporter garbage and other things just back in September.

Quote

The clip was posted on X, formerly Twitter, by the anti-Trump conservative group The Lincoln Project. It shows a portion of Trump's rally in Mosinee, Wisconsin, on September 7.

Trump discussed the possibility of Harris winning the presidency, and went on to say, "It's not her, it's the people that surround her. They're scum. They are scum, and they want to take down our country. They are absolute garbage."

Also heard the claim on Pod Save America that there's no evidence that Clinton's basket of deplorables comment caused her to lose the election.

The theory is that some low-propensity voters, whom Trump turned out in record numbers in 2020, would be more motivated to turn out this year.

If Harris loses, one reason may be that she wasn't able to turn out low-propensity voters who'd support her, specifically non-college educated people of color.

There's been much made that younger black and Latino males may support Trump.  But the more likely scenario is that a lot of these black and Latino males may not bother to turn out at all, which could lead to Harris doing worse compared to Biden in 2020.

We had a record turnout in voter turnout percentage in 2020.  The highest in like 100 years and the highest total number of votes in history, despite the pandemic.

The data shows very high number of early votes in 2020, as much as 100 million out of a total 158 million votes cast.

So far, 2024 early voting totals are behind those of 2020 in many swing states and more Republicans are casting early votes, both by mail and in person.

This is true.

After the way Bill says that Megyn Kelly is a smart person despite her wearing a trash bag & his actually having her on the show & hardly pushing back on anything she said I think we can guess who he's sleeping with.
