Watched it, not much to say except Scarborough and Mark Cuban both called out Bill on the "both sides" are spreading misinformation.

David Hogg was well prepared for Bill. I do think Bill likes him, and I would really hope to see Hogg on a panel sometime next year. I also think Bill would be supportive of him running for Congress. Me too. Bill's not wrong on his campus assessments, but he's also painting with a really broad brush. Also, he's kind of having it both ways. He knocked the Hak Tua girl, but he also had her on his podcast.

To pull this out to a larger context, as much as I do mostly agree with Bill, both Scarborough and Cuban throughout the panel demonstrated more nuanced takes on what Bill was saying. They weren't refuting his points, but they were getting into the layers of the issues, and I think a few times Bill just wasn't able to keep up. However, I do agree with Bill about taking Trump seriously about the 'enemy within'. I didn't know Scarborough was directly threatened. That's not nearly being taken seriously enough.

Cuban got cut off, not intentionally, but they were getting into covid, and Cuban was saying that there were problems, but it came from a well intentioned place. That again points to the nuance of the issue that Bill hasn't really addressed. He correctly points out that people in charge got a lot wrong, but he doesn't really grasp the context of decision making at the time. I still don't get why it's such a huge deal if someone was wearing a mask in their car.

All that, this was a good, solid show.

David Hogg is very impressive. He handled Bill like a pro, and Bill seemed  surprised that he was shut down so effectively, especially on the topic of student protests about the Middle East and his disdain for college students in general. Bill  loves to keep hammering on the younger generation just like the crusty old man that he is.

That's what I meant by Hogg being prepared. He knew Bill was going to get his shots in on college and he just let it roll off.

The students protesting, right or wrong, are what? 1% of the student body, if that. Obviously, that's getting the media coverage, but extrapolating to the entirety of college is just shortsighted.
