Boofish September 29 Share September 29 I like the show but Melissa is an awful person and should be held accountable for doing Ana Delvey on 2 people. First that horrid brother and then a dead woman. That shit is not ok. Link to comment
txhorns79 September 29 Author Share September 29 I like the show, and enjoyed seeing Mel's growth during the season even if she obviously undermined all of it with the credit card fraud. I'm still wondering how she thought that would work out for her. Did she really think she could just steal that money and get away with it? Link to comment
chaifan October 1 Share October 1 Am I the only one who was expecting Mel to die in this episode, but with other people, doing something that made her happy? When she got along so well with the couple on the first flight, I was thinking yep, the plane is going to crash. Then doing the polar bear plunge I expected something bad. Then on the flight back to NYC... I guess I took the title a bit too literally. I have to wonder what the writers were going for with this show. Did they want us to like Mel? To not like her? To be indifferent? I give them credit for doing something different, and giving us a very flawed character that was still (mostly) likeable. I'm somewhat glad that the credit card fraud was finally discovered, but if they're going for a 2nd season I don't know where they go from here. Mel will certainly lose her job, getting another job will be incredibly hard. If the IKEA settlement were $100,000 instead of $17,000, she'd be ok for a little while. But the settlement doesn't even cover her medical bills and the money she stole. Not to mention lawyer fees. So I'm back to wishing this was a one season show and that Mel died in the company of others before the police nabbed her. 2 Link to comment
