Dowel Jones September 23 Share September 23 Well, that was about a weak ending to fit with a weak season. Nima should have pulled a Major Kong and jumped on the rocket as it was being launched. It would at least have provided some humor to the show. Did the writers forget their basic chemistry? Melanie announces that it's -6° C in New Eden. 0° C is freezing, but everyone in NE is running around hatless or even in a tank top. Uh, no. Javi - "There was a surge in the Cat 9 line. I think it shorted the router box so I'm just bypassing the connection." Yep, Javi worked in IT back in the real world. Ah, the flowers at the ending. So hopeful. Bleah. What about all the soldiers and snowgoons that rode the train back to NE? Are they headed for a re-education camp, or what? I was actually anticipating a potential S5 cliffhanger where somewhere, someone is plotting to take over the train. Again. Mr. Sparkle September 23 Author Share September 23 (edited) Not a bang, but a whisper. Anyway, it's over. I didn't hate this season, but the show overall was mediocre with some interesting minutes here and there. I wonder if it would've been better if it was on HBO. Also: I was wrong about Wilford making a surprise comeback. Edited September 23 by Mr. Sparkle Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149549-s04e10-last-stop/#findComment-8463319
Biggie B September 23 Share September 23 There's a scene that I'm confused about: At one point, the lady doctor (never did know her name) urges Nima to come see something, despite his protests that he doesn't have the time. He enters a room with her and looks at something that we viewers can't quite see completely. It looked to me like one of the soldiers in the white body armor. I thought it was going to be Wilford brought back to life. Did I miss something? What or who were Nima and the lady doctor looking at? I thought I was watching pretty intently but perhaps I missed a subsequent scene? Agree with the poster above who questioned what would happen to the soldiers that got gassed. I guess they'll be welcomed to New Eden but it was sort of a loose thread - no one even mentioned them. Anyway - glad there was a relatively happy ending. The lady doctor stops to look at him, and makes some sort of remark about science being able to do wondrous things, or whatever she said. I'm pretty sure that's who it was supposed to be, but they never really paid that scene off, did they? What was even the point of it? I guess we were supposed to know the different soldiers by the painting on their masks, but I never picked up on any of them, they were too generic. I guess the bit at the end with the flower blooming far from New Eden means the Earth is actually starting to thaw. That's great, but all that research they did and all that data they collected? And they still had no idea at all what the climate was going to do. Sounds like a weather report, all right. Bye Snowpiercer, you were a thing. Don't rest now, though, Daryl Dixon's show is coming back next week, with Carol. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149549-s04e10-last-stop/#findComment-8463808
Dowel Jones September 24 Share September 24 According to the recap, you're correct. I suspect the writers ran out of room for that story but failed to close the loop and delete that scene. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149549-s04e10-last-stop/#findComment-8464073

I almost wondered if someone was hopeful for another season and brought back Wilford or Milius? But the scene got lost in the shuffle. Unless that undead soldier was "Rat", the guy who was guarding the rocket room, and was quickly dispatched? Or dispatched again I should say, if that was him. As I said before, I can't tell any of the generic soldiers apart. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/149549-s04e10-last-stop/#findComment-8464458
Hanahope October 31 Share October 31 I thought she just brought the guy back from the dead with the whatever poison substance and he was the one who attacked Bokkie and Andre somehow overpowered him. Idk. anyway surprised Nima didn’t try to get out of the rocket room and just decided to perish. is Javi going to take Snowpiercer back to the silo? Would seem like there is a lot of good supplies they could use there. And the people there might like to help out at New Eden too. Maybe figure out a work schedule back and forth.
