gesundheit September 4 Share September 4 (edited) Oh, this show. I honestly barely remember it but then all the feelings came rushing back within the first couple of scenes. There's a ton of details I've forgotten, of course, but I recall the gist (and was in need of a soapy indulgence that also infuriates me, for some reason!). Seven years later and none of these damn people have met a single new human, apparently! Stephen seemed more outwardly diabolical in this season opener, didn't he? That scene in the World's Nicest College Cafeteria felt a little too transparent -- he usually keeps the ugliest stuff behind closed doors. Perhaps a little too much dramatic license there for nobody at that table to interrupt him and tell him to STFU. They really all just let him run through his sinister monologue. Is it uptight of me that I was incredibly grateful for only one minor glimpse of a sex scene in the whole episode? I look forward to ranting about the Baird College dipshits with folks on here for another season! Edited September 4 by gesundheit 2 Link to comment
mandymax September 4 Share September 4 I binged the first season last month to refresh and prepare for this new season, and since I saw it so recently, it kind of hit me like a smack in the face that season 2 has a whole different feel to it, like they got new writers or something. The dialogue was awkward and dragged on unnecessarily in more than one scene, Stephen is now blatantly a psychopath, other characters feel like shadows of their former selves, the first-season chemistry feels like it's missing - what happened???? I'll still definitely watch, but am I the only one who's noticed? 2 Link to comment

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit I watched it three times! I could barely get through this premiere. It has lost its veracity and feels painfully contrived and hard to believe. Also, last season, someone here mentioned how distractingly older than her peers the actor playing Pippa looks. I was ok with it but this season they took that and added that blonde to make the actor look green. It's an eyesore and ages them even more to be so distractingly unbelievable.
