Thony turns to Ramona to get Fiona back to the United States but finds herself indebted; a secret Fiona has kept hidden for decades comes to light, creating friction between herself and family members.

So the cleaning lady is back to cleaning. But this doctor brings no special skills to the job and is unable to accept that she can't bend Arman's young uncle to her will. Meanwhile Aunty Ramona still wants to bring her family back together while her baby brother is mad at his big brother and thus nephew Arman for leaving the crime business.

Whatever embarrassment the de la Rosa's felt 15 years ago when their daughter became a single mother seems to be all gone. Only friction seems to be Chris since his mom lied about dad all these years. If Chris sneaks right back in wouldn't all hope of him normalizing and getting papers under the Dream Act be gone?

What is up with the pacing?? We only just found out about Paolo and now we're leaving him behind? I did like the subplot with him and Chris (even though everyone was being way too chill about the situation), and I thought we were going to see a bit more of them and Fiona in the Phillipines. I hope we see Paolo again, because it seems a waste to cast that guy for just two episodes.

Not sure what to make of this new branch of Arman's family yet. Having an uncle and nephew be close in age happens in real life, but it's a little confusing here. Don't see the point of them threatening Nadia; everyone's on the same side trying to find Arman.

Thony's chopping up bodies already; I feel like it shouldn't get any worse than that, but it's only episode 2.

Every time I think that I couldn't possibly hate her more, she totally outdoes herself.

Crying and whining about how she can't lose her son has lost all meaning. If she were truly concerned about even the possibility of any separation from her son, she would take him, quietly sneak out of the country and never come back.

. . . which he seems to have totally recovered from in less than 5 minutes.

I need more reality in my fiction.
