UK dating show where a picker chooses among potential dates as they’re revealed from the feet up.

It’s been on the air for 6 seasons and Max put all six seasons on a couple of weeks ago.  Show is one of the most popular on the service currently.

As one might expect it’s caused a stir with some conservative groups labeling it pornography.

I’ve watched a few episodes. Not sure I’m going to continue. It’s oddly boring, for all the hype and the initial shock of seeing so many strangers’ genitals up close.
 

They all say the same thing - “Seeing someone naked lets you find out who they really are.”  Does it though? Bodies are just bodies. Not the sum total of who we are. 
 

Also, despite there being diversity in terms of race and sexual orientation, everyone is basically an attractive young person. If they include an overweight person in the lineup, that person always gets eliminated first (despite the contestant usually saying something initially complimentary about their curves or their “dad bod” as the case may be). It’s quite predictable in that way. Do they ever end up having people over 40 in later seasons? Everything I’ve seen is quite samey. I can’t relate to it myself. But it is entertaining to a degree.

UK viewer here. Yes, there are older contestants, although I am not sure if they had a hard time finding people from that age group because there is at least one bloke who is in more than one episode.

I agree with you, I also felt it got stale quite quickly and I eventually stopped watching. Agree with the observation on the chubbier contestants and I also got the impression that women of color also rarely made it into the top 2. And of course the lads with the small w areillies weren't popular either.

But I liked the little knowledge bites.

I watched a couple episodes just to see what all the hype was about. I agree after the shock of seeing all the body parts up close and personal it got a bit boring.

Whereas I am liking this more than expected.  Granted, my expectations were very low, lol, but I've watched all of season 1 now, though.  Or at least I think so, since the articles I've seen (and also noted above) it was 7 seasons, but my Max lists 10?

According to the sociology of the show, I'm in the minority of what women find attractive because I do not like tattoos and find body and facial hair repulsive. Granted, I'm middle-aged, however, when it comes to the top of the head it's the complete opposite. I like lots of hair, especially shoulder-length (but no man buns, please!).
