I don't know ... John Wells did ER and the West Wing. So despite the title, maybe it'll be a more serious show?

Where they are filming is extremely dangerous water. The actors learned real lifeguarding techniques and had to make several real-life rescues while they were trying to film scenes. They said that they could not ignore that people nearby needed saving and that they had the proper equipment and training to help.

I am hoping this is like Bondi Rescue but fictional. I'd say with more drama, but ... lol. Bondi has its share.
