Cranberry June 6 Share June 6 Quote Two unpopular, queer high school students start a fight club to have sex before graduation. I've been waiting for this since I first heard they were making it. I loved Seligman's first film, Shiva Baby, and Rachel Sennott is excellent in everything (Shiva Baby and Bodies Bodies Bodies especially). Reviews out of SXSW were overall very positive and it was one of the most popular movies of the fest. It's in theaters in August. ‘Bottoms’ Review: Emma Seligman’s Wild Ride of a High School Comedy Is a Gonzo Gay ‘Fight Club’ Meets ‘Heathers’ (Variety) ‘Bottoms’ Review: The ‘Shiva Baby’ Team Returns with Idiosyncratic Queer Teen Comedy (IndieWire) Link to comment
SeanC June 7 Share June 7 Shiva Baby was one of my favourites of its year, excited to see what Seligman does next. 1 Link to comment
Cranberry August 27 Author Share August 27 Reviews are good so far! Looks like a pretty limited release though; it doesn't appear to be playing anywhere near me. Hope it doesn't take too long for it to hit streaming. Edit: Looks like it'll expand to additional screens on September 1. Link to comment
Cranberry September 25 Author Share September 25 It never did come anywhere near me (closest theater was a 3.5-hour drive and a $50 bridge toll away), but it's available on Prime Video and iTunes now! https://www.billboard.com/culture/product-recommendations/bottoms-how-to-watch-1235419305/ Link to comment
