Tamar Braxton, Evelyn Lozada and Nivea appear to have it all -- a family, career, money and worldwide fame. For all their massive successes, the one area they have not ruled is matters of the heart. Now in their 40s, these mature and healthy Queens are leaving behind a history of broken dreams, high-profile divorces and domestic abuse to open their hearts and find their Kings. With the help of Holly Robinson and Rodney Peete, the Queens hold court in Atlanta, where they'll meet 21 eligible men who think they're ready to take the hand of one of these high-profile divas.

Premiere Date: 03.16.2023

Didn't realize they were dropping all the eps today. I'm only 2 episodes in, but I have to say that I'm enjoying. I love Nivea and Tamar, and am meh on Evelyn, but she's not really bugging me, probably because there's no one here for her to bully.

I'm over here trying to recover from Tamar saying the one dude was wearing a Gordon Gartrell! Lol!

Tell me you're a child of the 80s without telling me you're a child of the 80s!

This song is still my jam after all these years.   I don't recall seeing Nivea much on the reality TV or media stream so it's interesting seeing her on this show.   Overall I'm enjoying it as I'm three episodes in so far.   It's cool seeing the ladies getting along.   I guess now we know how Tamar met J.R.

She was on a show last season where they put all these R&B "divas" together to record an album in 3 months. I just had to look it up; it was called The Encore. Although that show was a frakking mess, I remember saying to myself that Nivea needed her own show, so I was glad to see her on here.

I'm surprised by how much I really loved this. I found the women to be very authentic and self-reflective. Tamar especially. You can tell she's been going to therapy and actually applying that shit. (Although she still clearly has issues with her family that she needs to work through). And I am shocked that 2 of them not only found someone, but are engaged and still together. I hope they do a second season with Nivea since she didn't find anyone. And I love watching her!

Just curious, how old is this video?

Oh I do vaguely remember there was a show with the concept of "divas" putting together an album...I somehow didn't watch it so had no idea she was one of the divas.   And yeah I was surprised too both Evelyn and Tamar wound up finding someone on the show.

I'm three episodes in and so far I'm really enjoying this show.  It's so refreshing to see this type of show with age-appropriate contestants.  This isn't a stereotypical Bachelor season with a guy in his late 30s dating 22 year olds.  All of the ladies have had serious prior relationships including kids and it seems most of the contestants are in their 30s/40s with significant histories and children of their own.  It also helps that everyone has been open about their pasts.  You can tell that when the ladies ask about children, they are really trying to get to know the guys and try to understand how well their families would integrate if the relationship worked out.  Plus, it looks like everyone is Atlanta-based which helps prevent location conflicts.

I binged watched it, liked it a lot....

Never liked HRP but love her and Rodney's marriage.

LisaRaye - I was hoping she'd choose Booker, they seemed to be more in sync than she and the Jamie Foxx lookalike, David.  But, I understood why she didn't choose either one, she had me thinking of my mother's death and I was crying along with her.

K. Michelle - If only Ben had wanted children, I bet she would have chosen him....I thought he was very sexy.  I liked Andrea too, especially his hair.  Nosh was cool too.

London - Damn, her previous men really fucked her over.  Until she chose Zeus, none of the guys could say or do anything right, that must be exhausting.  I have abandonment issues too but sheesh, give the guys a chance.

Overall I found Season 2 to be just as entertaining as the 1st season.

Some highlights:

LisaRaye:

I LOL'ed when Da Brat and family called Booker boring.   I suppose compared to David he does come across as such but sometimes what's considered boring may actually be good for you.   That whole business with LisaRaye seeing her daughter's ex seemed bogus to me.   However I changed my mind when seeing how Norman was reacting all over again to what caused he and his daugther to end things.   I wanted to give him a hug.   Charles was totally out of his element during the K. Michelle event.   I thought LisaRaye would eliminate him right off the bat but he lasted longer than I thought he would.   In the end it made sense that she didn't choose anyone right off the bat.  I assume she could still see Booker and/or David outside of the show after some time.

London:

I was giving side-eye when it seemed like London was going after K. Michelle's rejects.   First with Zach and later with Chris, the latter who seemed to be a nutcase.   Zach had some valid points with not wanting to get his mack on with London in front of everyone else.   But that is what he signed up for.   I do wonder if the health scare was an excuse for him to check himself out of the competition.   It seemed like he would've been the final guy had he stayed.   I felt like Tracy would've been the better fit than Zeus.

K-Michelle:

I like K-Michelle.   She seems like a fun person to hang out with.   As far as her guys I do feel like Ben would've been a great choice.   He didn't seem too fame whore-y and was pretty stable.   Nosh would'be worked if he wasn't so flakey.   I guess he must've gotten some special clearances to be able to still do "his business" while signed up for the show.   Akam was cool too but he definitely friend-zoned himself.
