I just listened to the Lockwood & Co spoiler special of the Pilot TV+ podcast that included an interview with Joe Cornish and he shared some interesting tidbits:

  • They came up with a backstory for Pamela Joplin and Saunders who got involved when she was young but their relationship has since soured. She sees in George the kind of person she wishes she'd have connected with instead.
  • They changed how the final confrontation plays out with the villain over the bone glass because the way it went in the book didn't work on film.
  • The scripts for the second season are all currently being developed, some are even finished.
  • Possible spoiler for future books describing how the finale originally included another tease where we see
    Spoiler

the bone mirror being snagged by an unknown person before it can be incinerated and getting tossed into a massive pile of other active sources.
