Only four episodes here and they still found time to have a quasi-bottle episode!  Honestly, the general idea isn't a bad one, but I feel like I've barely gotten to know these characters at all; let alone they themselves; so all of the bonding and talks felt unearned and flimsy.  And that goes double for the whole Elle/Fjall thing.  Those two acted like they were about to kill on another a mere two episodes ago and now suddenly they are acting like true love and sexing each other up?  Just how many days have past here?

The Empress manages to pull one over Balor and gets the upper hand, but since his replacement kind of sucks, she's already back to needing him again and forming some kind of alliance.  All of this feels kind of like a waste.

Figured Scian was playing the Empress, but I figured she was simply going to get the gang captured and then break them out inside, instead of killing all of the guards and taking their uniforms (along with some friendly sell swords?)  At least she got her sword back!

Fjall is officially the proto-Witcher, now?

Looks like the finale is going to be all about the battle, so hopefully it's action-packed at least.

Yeah we don't have enough time with those characters. Still those scenes are  way better than watching whatever is going on in the palace. Balor is the only interesting character, mostly because the actor is charismatic.

Also Merwyn's armor is so ugly and fake looking.
