Simone knowing how to handle every situation based on her guidance counselor job has been so annoying already, but now she knows how  Garza helped some random, unknown pilot years ago?  And has the phone number?  Mary Sue’s have always been frustrating but I feel like Simone is a Mary Sue times 100.

I was convinced I'd missed something during this scene because it seemed so random. Unless maybe she's supposed to be the team's normal pilot and that's (+being kind of nosy) how Simone knew? Even then, some indication would have been nice.
