With dock prices spiking, the fleet races to deliver. Jake witnesses a freighter severing his longline, forcing the Saga crew to drag the bottom for a valuable string of pots. Rip helps Johnathan locate the motherlode only to pay with a broken block.

I think he was taking them to the airport to fly them to Seattle where they'd get on an international flight to Japan (or wherever).

They were still alive, so maybe he bypassed the cannery completely. It occurs to me that folks in Dutch might occasionally ship fresh crab to friends/family so getting the packaging might not be too out of the ordinary.

Or some agent met him at the dock and the rest was for show.

Even after all these years, we get new information about the industry.  Really good ep, this was.

Once again, Jake A. displays superior seamanship.  If he could learn to be more corporate like his mentor Sig, he'd be formidable.

Now, the way they played the last days of the harvest were pure BS.  He already had enough to pay the note.  The final pots were about how much the crew would earn and how much could be banked for future needs.  Certainly important, but not existential considerations.  Was there some type of cod season deadlines, either cannery or government?  Disco made sure we never heard a hard and fast date.

How much did the Patty Lee pay for the $18 million quota it had?

The one truly fake moment was when Rip refused to take the call from Jonathan.  His operation was down for what we later learned was TEN HOURS due to the block issues.  He didn't have time to say hey?  Disco strikes again.

Another No-Hansen zone ep.  Good.
