It’s the 4th of July, and the fathers have come to Cousins for Susannah’s annual party at the beach house. Tensions flare between Conrad and his father. Belly and the Fisher brothers make margaritas, and chaos ensues. Later, Belly has a romantic moment that's interrupted.

So Susannah waited 3 years and until she was dying of cancer to kick her husband out over his affair? Plus her plan is to wait until the end of the summer to spring it on the kids at once that she is going to die and that their dad has moved out. Conrad and Jeremiah are totally not going to need therapy after all of that. Laurel overstepped by calling Adam, but Susannah should have been more honest with literally everyone. She wants to be secretive and selfish and then gets mad when she gets called out about lying to the people closest to her. As mentioned previously, the permissiveness with underage drinking and drugs is perplexing. Laurel did ask Belly who gave her permission to drink the margaritas, but then totally dropped it when Belly claimed her dad’s new girlfriend gave the permission. Plus, Adam blaming Conrad seemed weird too when he’s not around to set rules for his own kids. Adam wasn’t mad that the kids were drinking so much as that as he perceived it that Conrad allowed Belly to get drunk.
