Watching this recently for the umpteenth time and found myself greatly amused by something. When the warden realizes the cops are coming for him, he opens his Bible to find the copy Andy left for him. The marker in the Bible is open to Exodus. Well played...well played...

Oh I absolutely love this movie. 
 

I love how well it portrays male intimacy- something we rarely get to see onscreen outside of a homoerotic context.

I am not normally drawn to such androcentric films, but the relationship between Andy and Red completely sucks me into this one and I've watched it countless times (I own it on Blu-Ray, yet still watch parts of it when I come across it on TV).  I also like that it addresses becoming institutionalized:
