lucindabelle September 25, 2022 Share September 25, 2022 The “have you heard of Gardner’s multiple intelligences” was such exposition… because literally you cannot do a teacher preparation program and not have heard of it. And even though th ey are saying now that it’s somewhat debunked, it’s still worth keeping in mind imo. gifted kids are as at much risk as special Ed kids. Everyone needs to be at their proximal level of challenge. If a kid is bored s/he falls behind and it can be hard if not impossible to catch up. Not to mention terrible work habits that will eventually cause failure when work gets harder in middle school. BUT pullout classes are only ONE way to go. Every teacher today should know how to differentiate and scaffold. It won’t be a TOTAL solution but it certainly will help! 1 3 Link to comment
