I happened to catch an interview with her after the race and then watched part of it later.  Deedra Irwin, of little Pulaski, Wisconsin (my home state!) came in 7th in the Biathlon.  Best finish by a US athlete ever in this event.  Pretty cool.  She  was overwhelmed with emotion in the interview.

I'm finally watching Biathlon for the first time, and I'm fascinated to see how the shooting component works and how the judges know when a target has been missed. It's interesting!
