I think the quality of the shows is a bigger problem than the quantity.   Discovery, the current flagship series, is horrible.  I watch it simply to reaffirm my conviction that it's garbage.

Picard is only slightly better.  The difference is, Picard features characters we truly care about thanks to stories that have gone before.   But if you replaced all the familiar faces with unknowns, and had a lead who was anyone but Patrick Stewart, the show and its storyline would feel generic and tedious.

I don't expect much from Strange New Worlds either.   It's fruit of the poison Discovery tree.

Meanwhile, I have zero interest in Lower Decks, Prodigy or Star Trek Shorts.

LD is hit or miss, but when it's on, it can be pretty damn funny.  Plus the eps are only 25 minutes so they go fast.
