Tara Ariano March 6, 2014 Share March 6, 2014 The time has come for an unlikely alliance to band together for a new raid on England; a storm pushes the Viking fleet to a new destination; Ragnar and his men may have met their match. Link to comment
David T. Cole March 7, 2014 Share March 7, 2014 Siggy is putting her house in order, eh? Slapping Rollo around, sexing up the King, and making peace with Aslaug. Not bad for (four years and) a few days. Link to comment

Kilt-and-Sporran March 9, 2014 Share March 9, 2014 The first season made it clear that the Vikings were quite ignorant of Christianity; yet, in this episode (s2;e2 3/6/14)) we have Jarl Borg virtually reciting Ecclesiastes 12:6, when, being perturbed upon Ragnar giving him the bad news that King Horik changed his mind about the agreement to raid together, he said: "On this occasion, the silver thread is slit; the golden cup breaks, and the pail is smashed at the spring." The Scripture version of that reads: ". . . the silver cord is severed, and the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, and the wheel broken at the well. . ." (New International Version). 1 Link to comment
David T. Cole March 9, 2014 Share March 9, 2014 Good observation. Jarl Borg is from Gotaland which is in modern day Sweden and given that the second season is in 800, he's about 200 years shy of Christianization. Seems far too specific even for a worldly ruler. Link to comment
