Just happened to catch this. One of my daughter's is a 911 operator, and, coincidentally, this operator (who was the first I saw) looks and acts a lot like her --at least, the parts of my daughter that are not like me, LOL.

Are we to assume cameras are actually capturing these events as they are happening (like most reality shows) or that the operators are reenacting things (or are actors playing the operators)? I wondered since the blurb says calls are rerecorded to protect privacy and whatnot.

I can’t tell if everything is a re-enactment based on what the producers recorded in the dispatch centers or if the footage is real, but only the parts from the caller we hear dubbed over is re-enacted.  Nevertheless it does seem like the producers filmed in each location for awhile.
