I’m bummed. I was hopeful for this season because there seemed to be more chemistry at the altar than seasons past.
@Retired at last Agree with your comment about casting actors for specific parts. Seems like the people are remixes of old seasons; ie, never been in a relationship (Deonna had situationships), she’s the life of the party (just like Virginia), health issues (Katie being a diabetic), he’s quirky (Bennett), and on and on.
At this point I’m just looking forward to all the CO scenery.

So far I’m liking all the cast members except Emily. And whoever gave her a spray tan must hate her as much as her so called friends. The juxtaposition of Emily’s friends and Becca’s friends was interesting. I also find it odd Cameron has been here 10 years and seems to have acquaintances instead of true friends. His gift was one note and immature (“I’m a kiwi!”), rather than something she would appreciate or about them as a couple. Think they will flame out quickly.
From the after party: Micheal said he kept the crown and sword (good on him) and he got her very nice gifts (one was a diamond bracelet) which she returned. He would be open to talking to her for closure if that’s what she wanted. Becca said the “sex vixen” comment from her friend was because she thought the other things said about Becca were serious and she wanted to lighten the mood since Becca is a fun person.

Me too! It’s like the experts approach to sex is on the level of a 13 year old - “ooooh, I found your hidden naughty bits”. Wish they would approach it on an adult level and really try to match them to be compatible.

Based on personal experience from family members with offices that don’t need them: It gives them a sense of power as they are the only family member with a dedicated space that others are banned from using, and it gives them a false sense of importance because what they do is so mission critical it can’t be done at the kitchen table on a laptop like everyone else. As for what they actually do: annoy the shit out of everyone else forwarding junk emails and memes, and/or porn.

Agree about the snooze fest. I was excited to see eps 14, 15 and 16 come available. Unfortunately I FFd through most of it. I wanted updates on how the singles and couples were doing. Instead I got bored to death about throwing out a baseball pitch, Paul’s mom being embarrassingly immature, Irina desperately trying to get camera time while looking as large and bloated as Shelby, and Micah being super fake while making the apology rounds. The only thing remotely interesting was Jackie being her awful self while her BF of an entire year left her alone on a dark sidewalk so he could go inside and be a little dramatic bitch in an effort to get more TV time. Josh and Jackie are so pathetic and awful I’m glad they are together because no one else should be subjected to having to date them.

On an earlier episode I thought she said she applied for the divorce and felt confident about getting an annulment, it was more of a timing issue. But, these guys make up their “scripts” as they go along so who knows what the truth is.

I think you are on to something here. She is such a money grubber. Reminds me of my very wealthy aunt who would take the all the sugar packets from restaurants. People like that constantly think they are entitled to more and are never satisfied. It’s a really pathetic way to choose to live considering all the joy she could have if she wasn’t such a dreadful failure of a human being.

And I’ll defend Violet. I was pissed for her that he didn’t notice that she never wears pearls or do any basic level research about her home country and discover that she could easily get better pearls than he can in the US. And, she said that she had something work related the next day and could meet up for dinner after. Of course she could have said it nicer, but their “thing” seems to be acting like a couple of angsty 13 year olds. They are both challenging individuals and might just deserve each other.

Based on my experience at a religious college: there are some women that think if they can get the pious guy that no other woman has been with it must mean that that said woman is a super special bible barbie and they are the ultimate religious “it” couple. Sadly, those women are too stupid to realize that the guy hasn’t been touched by a woman because he isn’t desirable to 99.5% of the population. There is something really, really, really off about Meisha and I’m surprised she is able to hold down a job and raise kids. Bless her heart.

She made a big fuss over expanding their family a few yrs ago when they "reconciled" but I believe nothing has ever come of that.
I haven’t watched everything w/ them on, but I remember it the opposite. Jephte was pushing having more kids and she pushed for more time so she could get her biz off the ground, get breast enhancement surgery, give Laura more time to feel special, etc. I was very much on her side bc as much as Jephte talked a big game about being kid focused, he dumped a LOT on Shawniece. The eps I watched showed him ducking out a fair amount, leaving most of the household work to Shawniece (which is hard to judge bc they were never really clear about who was working outside the home more, but it was implied Shawniece had very little time to work on her wig biz ‘cause she was basically living like a single parent with hardly any help), and passing Laura off to Shawniece frequently.

I give Chase a pass on this. I think the first time he went to Gary was because Glenn said something to Chase so Chase wanted to make sure Gary was aware of the situation. When Chase asked to handle it himself Gary told Chase not to talk to Alex and that Gary would handle it (which Gary did by telling lies and throwing Chase under the bus 🙄). Plus, from other seasons we’ve seen the bosun get pissy if a deckie tried to train another deckie without being anointed super special double cheezy lead deckhand. Gary sucks as a leader.

I disagree. We really haven't seen enough to know who is the "better" pet parent. Both of Gina's trips were for work and even if they weren't people with dogs are allowed to go on vacation and not take the dog with them. For all we know, when Gina is not traveling she takes Hank for long walks and cuddles him on the sofa watching movies every night (I sure would). I can tell she is a good dog mom because Hank is a healthy, outgoing confident dog. He likes people. He is well trained. My first dog (as an adult) was definitely my dog and she loved me. But in her first family, the dad took care of her. He trained her and fed her and took her for walks. She LOVED all men. I had male friends who took care of her when I traveled and she adapted very quickly to their care. She was a total flirt. That doesn't mean they were better dog parents than I was and I would neither have given her away nor stood for anyone taking her from me. She just was a "man's dog." I miss her every day.
Agree with all your points! I get why people are tired of Nicole, but that’s on the producers and matchmakers. There is only ONE couple that made it past decision day so of course they are going to be featured heavily, just wish the producers gave them interesting things to do instead of hanging with the other couples and talking about their relationships constantly. That is annoying. Nicole seems smitten with Chris. Having someone who truly adores you is the best feeling in the world and I imagine Chris is very happy with the way things turned out for him.
