  1. I'm almost ashamed to admit I actually liked the episode. I expected the worst after the season finale, but this was a nice surprise. The first half felt hectic and kind of rushed which I think kept me from feeling for Kate (that coffee scene did nothing for me and I think, viewers were supposed to be heartbroken when she almost started crying at the Precinct, but it left me cold), but I was really proud of Ryan for believing so strongly in Castle, even when his partner didn't. As far as Espo is concerned, I think he's a hot-headed guy who doesn't really think but immediately jumps to action. It's no excuse of course, but I think, deep down, he didn't really believe Castle would do this to his daughter and Kate. I also thought the second half of the episode was very strong. I think it hasn't sunk in yet with Castle, which is why he seemed pretty unfazed; Kate had been without answers/clues for two months by that time so it was easy for her to be desperate and angry. I think it will sicker in with Castle soon enough - I actually thought it started during that last scene, which is why it worked for me. All in all, it wasn't my favorite episode but I think it could have been a lot worse. I liked the continuity with Vinnie The Scar and I think Tropical Storm was a big hint which doesn't make any sense yet, and what I've seen from the Promo for 7x02, they aren't done yet with the emotional repercussion and I'm kind of excited to see what struggles it will bring. And I'm intrigued to know what happened to Castle. Castle's sun burn was a really nice touch; for some reason I really loved that, lol.
  2. I can barely make out anything on the call sheets, I therefore apologize if this doesn't make any sense; but is there any way they are just playing pretend in 7x07? That for some reason they have to pretend to be newlyweds and that's why they talk about it? From the spoilers I've read, I just can't imagine that we'll get a satisfying wedding in 7x06. I don't want/need a big ceremony like we were supposed to have in 6x23, but I do want vows and a meaningful Kate/Jim talk and a worthy ceremony, and you can't squeeze that into the last 10 minutes.
  3. BTS pics for 7x07. Spoilers for outfits but not plot. I have to say, I'm intrigued. I have no idea what to expect, especially not after seeing Beckett in that outfit, lol.
  4. She briefly wore it in a low French braid in 4x02, but other than that, not that I remember. I wish they'd do more with her hair. I remember they tried a few things in seasons 2 and 3 (up-dos, low ponytails with this large clip) and it looked great because she had bangs and layers which made the hairstyles look so natural, but now it's either perfectly styled locks or high ponytails with zero fly-aways and a ton of volume on top of the head.
  5. I read the acknowledgements - and without intending to - the ending. I was actually kind of mad at myself because I thought I'd ruined the book for me (or at least part of it) but so much stuff is happening from the beginning to the ending that it still got me on the edge of my seat. Not all the way through yet, but like madmaverick, there were times for me where I wished Castle & Beckett were a little more like Rook & Heat.
  6. I love the way Beckett tackles the guy, so uncoordinated and messy - and desperate. Kind of mirroring what must be her state of mind. That's one of the reasons why I'm actually excited about the premiere, I love when my characters struggle (is that weird?).
  7. If there is a secret love child, I think I'll just pretend that Veritas is the series finale. Talked to my mother about what Castle doesn't possibly know about himself and she immediately said 'Alexis isn't his'. But they wouldn't go there, right? Right?
  8. I actually think they'll do something really dramatic for the next wedding (attempt) as well. There's this scenario stuck in my head where either Beckett or Castle is hurt and in the hospital and when they come to they're so desperate to get married that they'll just have the hospital chaplain say a few words and wed them. That way they don't have to spend money on a new dress, a location and an actual ceremony. I hope it won't happen that way but on Castle nothing emotionally grave has ever happened without any drama beforehand.
