  1. Coincidentally, I've just found a video of both Fillion and Katic's victims.
  2. 100% agreed. I think we've all had co-workers we didn't get along with but still managed to be professional, and for a lot less money. No one's ever paid me to pretend to like a co-worker. Ultimately, it doesn't matter if they were ever romantically involved or not. If they were and it (obviously) didn't work out, they still should've been professional about it, cause that is possible (e.g. Kaley Cuoco & Johnny Galecki, The Big Bang Theory).
  3. Well, that not-so-normal obsession is one of the reasons these people have even HAD a job for this long. And it's not just the die-hards who would rather have the show end on a high note: https://www.facebook.com/Castle/?fref=ts Do I think people should actively send ABC messages asking for cancellation? No. Do I think they're perfectly justified to openly express on their personal social media accounts that they're not gonna watch S9 and would rather have it end now? Yes. Besides, even IF people ask for cancellation, I doubt it'll change anything. If the overwhelmingly negative response to Katic's exit won't change anything, then nothing will.
  4. I think it's understandable that fans who've been emotionally invested in Castle and Beckett for years want the show to get cancelled. They know they've shot two endings. And they know that if the show goes on without Beckett, they're gonna go with an ending most fans won't like, because it can't possibly end well for Caskett. It's not about wanting people to lose their jobs. It's about fighting for a couple they've spent 8 years rooting for. And if I worked on Castle and found out that they fired 50% of what made the show what it was? I'd be looking for a new job just in case, anyway.
  5. This is from @tvandmusicfan on Twitter: My friend at CBS talked to some crew he knows at ABC and found out the following: 1). it had been a "known secret" Katic was leaving. 2). There was problems on set, but the problem went "both ways" with the actors. 3). The news of Katic's exit was released early to "test the water" of fans. 4). The show will "most likely" be renewed for season 9 pending plotline approval. My friend in LA told me if there is a Castle season 9, Beckett will "demise off camera" between the season 8 finale and the premiere. Insiders are "95% certain" Castle will be renewed. It is "up to Fillion" on what he wants to do. It would be only 13 episodes. They "do plan" on having Ryan and Esposito back, but it will "depend on the storyline." Molly Quinn will "certainly be back" if the show is renewed, but screen time will depend on the new co-star. My friend at CBS reminded me that TV is business. Even with slightly lower ratings, not paying a huge paycheck to Stana will help profits.
  6. I have a question for everyone: do you think the chemistry has suffered during the last few seasons? If so, do you think it's because of whatever went on off-screen or do you think it's because of the writing? Or both? Cause I'm leaning towards both.
  7. And how do we know "her people" accused him of anything? That's as much speculation as every other "insider" information, no?
  8. Yes. I've never heard of that site, to be honest.
  9. No matter what really happened and who's to blame, the bottom line is that the entire show will be tainted. No one will wanna watch Castle and Beckett's first meeting again, no one will wanna watch their first kiss again. What's the point, knowing how it all ends? I always appreciate when show runners say, "We don't wanna outstay our welcome, we wanna go out on top". That's when you know they care about their audience and what they've written. It's very clear that this isn't the case here. If they can still squeeze $2 out of this dead horse, they will. I'm disappointed about this and I've stopped watching before this season, so I can imagine how the die-hard fans must feel right now. Such a slap in the face. Btw, there's a new "insider report" out there that's surprisingly detailed, but I don't wanna add fuel to the fire.
  10. Well, it's weird that details start to come out now, but the rumor that they don't get along has been around for years. And I gotta say that Nathan's behavior since the news broke support those details. He's never ever seemed enthusiastic about Caskett, the show has started to focus on him, that emotionless PR statement about Stana and he's fav'ed a tweet that said a Beckett-less show can work (who is he kidding?). Certainly adds up.
  11. Actually I think that blind item was about Bernadette and Howard from The Big Bang Theory.
  12. It's sad. While I understand that it's their job and they want to pay the bills, I hate that this seems to be all they care about, no matter how much damage they're doing to these characters and how much they're pissing the fans off who are the very reason they've been able to work at all for the past 8 years. JMO.
  13. This. I normally don't pay much attention to internet rumours, but I am starting to believe this one, especially after this writer/director tweeted the following: He tweeted this long after that rumour about Nathan and Stana not wanting to work together for more than 2 days an episode first started. So, if that is indeed the case, and I strongly suspect that it is, then my respect for both actors is pretty much gone. I don't care how much you dislike someone you're working with. You get paid more in a week than most people get paid in a year. Be professional, do your jobs and don't screw over the fans who've kept you on the air for the past 8 seasons.
