  1. Ted pulling out the green matchbook - at the pub with Dr. Jake & Michelle - is either a non-subtle Tedbecca hint or a 'reconciliation & getting back together with Michelle' hint.

I only offer that about Ted & Michelle because of how they got on at the pub as well as Michelle not having the engagement ring on at the end - along with her verbatim repeating of the line about 'Dave Grohl practicing drums on pillows' on the way out, further cementing how much alike she and Ted are.

I'm indifferent to Tedbecca, but please God NO on a Ted/Michelle re-connection endgame!

  2. Gotta be honest .....

Someone mentioned above that the show is moving out of the Dark Forest.  God, I flipping hope so.  Because this season (so far) - as well as the majority of S2 - has been really fucking depressing, at least on most of the relationships and/or personal situations front.

Either get everyone to their happy places or spend much more screen time on Richmond winning matches.  In fact, please spend more time on the actual sport regardless of the other story lines!

Honestly, I've reached the point that I plain just don't even care what the endgame relationships, or lack thereof, end up as.  With so much drama every episode - for most of the last 20 eps - it feels like this show is continually tap dancing on the line between being what its actually billed as and masquerading as a 'daytime soap'.

  3. Since its been totally silent - seemingly on all fronts, let alone the one I'm referring to - for like 2/2.5 months, I'm guessing the chances of MGG coming back for the next season are about nil?

Or maybe I'm making something out of nothing, IE its just too early for real speculation.  Have they even started production on the new season yet?

And now the WGA has gone on strike (again), so that'll pretty much halt any production for however long that lasts.

  4. (sorry if old/repeated 'news')

Maybe this is a first, or an "its Easter weekend" one-time thing, but HLN seems to be running a marathon today/this evening.  In late S4 right now.

I don't normally watch HLN or check its listings.  Just happened to see it a minute ago while scrolling.

  5. Did Trvl remove Ghost Adventures from their lineup?  Or move it to a different day??

First time, in seems like forever, that they are showing something other than a full day marathon of GA on a Thursday.

.... but sadly, what they're showing instead is just as unwatchable.  A full day marathon of something called Haunted Case Files.  Has investigators talking about past cases of theirs, with bad acting playing out the scenes/events for viewers.

  6. So now that Gordy got reinstated, will they make him & Childs partners?  Didn't get even the slightest sense that we'd likely never see Childs again, so wondering how he'll play into (at least) the rest of this season.

Now that Miggy is officially official and out in the open, 'bout time to dive headfirst back into the heavy overtones of the upcoming culmination of the 'payback for the black op' story line they've so far built up to in the first 4 eps.

Getting the heavy foreboding feeling that Suzy might be tip-toeing 'fridge' territory, or that they'll heavily tease it as an option.   Like now that Rick has hope - from knowing Miggy is together - he & Suzy will start working to being together, and right when its happening (or just after), she'll be a terribly unfortunate victim of the whole payback plot.

I'm surprised there hasn't been several cancelations of paranormal investigation shows already. This genre has been on the decline in popularity for several years.

But then Travl would either have to commission more paranormal investigation shows, to replace them, or even crazier - have to air actual shows that are geared more to its actual namesake.

    The horror!

But in all seriousness, if Travl does lose most of its paranormal & PI shows, it would feel pretty weird after all these years of almost nothing but.

I would not lose a wink of sleep if Ghost Adventures was the only show got removed, though.

  8. Finally got around to watching and catching up on the new season.

And seems they are going to do the "white SUV" kind of plot, again, but hopefully not as horribly or glossed over this time.

I agree that its probably Ivan again, but wouldn't mind if it was someone else.

I just like having an over-arching plot instead of only the episodic cases, which are more often than not on the wrong side of the 'hit-or-miss' category.

  9. Seeing stuff out there - re: S2 - about how Garcia's 'love life will remain "complicated"' and something about a 'love triangle'.  🤢

Unless they get MGG back for S2, there is no way I ever plan on watching the soap opera of Garcia's 'love life'.   No thank you very much.

MGG and DH made a right decision not to come back for CME. Look what happened to Adam Rodriguez, nearly faded into the background.

I hear your point, but there is no way that they fade MGG into the background if he were to come back.

    Fans would revolt.

  11. Watched Troubled Blood

I feel like I should have watched the first four 'seasons/books' first, again, because it was a little difficult getting back into the feel of the series for the first quarter or third or so of the first TB episode.  But that was probably just me.

It was good, but I don't think four episodes was enough to the do true justice to the retelling of the book when what started out as just one case turned into three separate ones that shared a weak-gravity orbit of one another.  Not having read the books (yet), it felt like we got just the ultimately main plot and very sparse bits of the subplots.  I had read somewhere that in TB, the book, that Strike & Robin were going to hire some extra investigators, but if I hadn't known that previously, I would have been all "who the hell are these guys?!" when watching.

I really do need to get around to reading the books.  Show is quite good, mostly, but there's probably a lot more to the overall series than just what we get on screen - especially in terms of character thoughts, feelings/emotions, etc.

  12. Watching some early S1 P: CoC eps on Travl, and I forgot how funny the red-haired and bearded guy could be at times.

The one about the guys investigating the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, FL, and they are trying to get EVP, and the guy asks if there is an afterlife, and they get 'yes' in response when playing it back.

The commenter, said with a smirk:  "When asked if there was an afterlife, the ghost said 'yes'.  Although I think it would have been spookier if it had said 'no'."

    lol

  13. Crossing my fingers but won't hold my breath that MGG & Reid will be back for CM: E S2.  Will make time to watch S1 - at some point - if he is.

(same for MGG/Reid making an appearance in the S1 finale;  in regards to AJC's "The fans are going to lose their minds there. How we end the season is amazing. I can’t wait.")

  14. That's cool about the 2-hour opening event, but that means one less week overall.  Give and take.

Interesting about the initial 20 episode order being labeled as a two-part season.  Seems to me they are opening the door for a "if it gets the Nielsen Ratings (or whatever) numbers in the first 10 episodes, the 2nd part of S5 can find a home on the fall schedule;  and more episodes can/will be ordered.".

Not sure why you split up a season, otherwise.  Unless they are going to air the first 10 this winter and then the other 10 sometime this mid-to-late summer.  I guess that's a distant possibility, too.

I caught a rerun last night that was Jennifer investigating a Cerro Gordo, a ghost town dubbed "the most haunted ghost town in America" for some reason. Unfortunately, they invited a female "pyschic" along who spent most of her time "reading auras" and trying to "communicate with spirits". They spent most of the time investigating a hotel that "mysteriously" burned down which people blamed on a ghost. After wasting 30 minutes of investigating a haunted bed from the town and the psychic doing her thing, it turns out the fire was most likely started by faulty wiring that had been installed in a wood building in the desert in the early 1900's. I wanted to give the "psychic" a two-by-four headache when she believed that a ghost caused the faulty wiring to start the fire. This show used to be a lot more credible in the past.

Ghosts always get a bad rap and all the blame.

No wonder they like making people's lives hell.

  16. Wasn't even aware until checked a site about TV shows to count seasons/episodes for it, but Silent Witness S26 starts in 5 nights on BBC One.

Yeesh, guess I better get around to binging S25!  lol

  17. This could be old news, but I read the other day that the reason MGG didn't participate in this new season is because of something to do with the children's book he wrote, or another follow up book.  Not sure, but it's something to do with all that.

Maybe his schedule will allow him to be available if they do another season of this 'CM: Evolution'.

I also liked how there's actually some hints that JJ's workload could actually start affecting her marriage, even if that storyline is eleven years too late.

That's about as ridiculous as that "nothing more than a toothless 'shout out'" to the Jencer fans in the S14 finale.

    Found this. . .

    Criminal Minds: Evolution release schedule

Episode 1: “Just Getting Started” – Thursday, Nov. 24 (Thanksgiving Day)

    Episode 2: “Sicarius” – Nov. 24

    Episode 3 – Dec. 1

    Episode 4 – Dec. 8

    Episode 5 – Dec. 15

    Episode 6 – Jan. 12

    Episode 7 – Jan. 19

    Episode 8 – Jan. 26

    Episode 9 – Feb. 2

    Episode 10 – Feb. 9

Still don't understand why they aren't just releasing all the episodes at once, if the arc is supposed to be much more serialized than the previous 15-seasons' worth of UnSubOTW format.

But I don't plan on watching, anyways, so nevermind me.
