  1. I only watched the Garrick and Danielle portions of the show. The FF button was my friend.  Danielle!  I’m proud of you for coming up with this third wife scenario to stick it to Bert.  Brilliant maneuver.  Hahahaha….  That said, I’ve got a feeling that the nurse won’t be around long enough for it to matter.

  2. This show is becoming difficult to enjoy.  What benefit is it to me, or any viewer, to be a fly on a wall and watch this very uncomfortable fallout after a Roloff family argument? It’s cringeworthy. (Although, I have definitely chosen a “side”.) Yes, it’s a reality television show and I have witnessed disagreements in prior seasons but this one feels different.  I hope this is the final season.  I think it will be, for me.

I have seen several stories the last couple of days where Michelle S has gone to social media to explain that she is playing a character; that she is acting out what the writers are writing.  Sorry, I didn't explain that very well.  Apparently there is a lot of blowback and anger towards her from many Y&R fans; maybe confusing her, the actress/person with the character she is playing. Has anyone else seen this?  And should I have put this in Small Talk?

The thing is, "Phyllis" is/could be an interesting, nuanced character. I know we speak of Phyllis/MS as if they are one and the same; and maybe a credit to the actress that she has  "gone all into" her role.  She has done it that well.  A role like  "Phyllis" could be such a meaty, fantastic part to play. But the over-the-top, mustache-twirling, googly-eye, shrieking banshee that MS sometimes chooses to portray the character is off-putting and makes her look like an over-emoting ham.

Michelle needs to take a very close and objective look at her performance in the scene.  It would be advantageous for her to SEE the bizarre acting choices she made while reciting the dialogue written for her character, and why so many fans are perplexed.  Maybe then, she’ll begin to understand that killing the messenger isn’t the answer in this scenario.

Olive = Victoria because as Swee Pea said she’s like Popeye’s Olive Oyl

Rodan = Phylis because she flaps her arms like wings and screams Caw Caw

Nostrils = Billy because his nostrils are bigger than his eyes

Nick = Banana Breath because he bares his teeth and walks like a Gorilla.

I cannot tell you how often I laugh at these descriptions, and others. They’ve been used around here a long time but they work.  Thank you!

  5. “We can use it as a wonderful gathering spot for Christmas.  We will invite the whole family!”  WHAT?  Are they crazy?  Sell the place.  The market was great.   Return your brother’s money and give him his profits.  Stick to the plan.

I pretty much disliked everything she did to that space.

  6. Ugh! So close to being rid of Cade. 😡

I like Andrew McCarthy.  Had no idea he was joining the show.  His character appears to be a pompous ass.  Too bad.

  7. I was hoping this would be the last time we would be seeing Cassidy on the show until we learned about Big Three Homes.  Ugh!

The actor who plays teenage Kevin was quite impressive in this episode.  He has developed Justin's mannerisms perfectly.

Other than the well acted hospital scene, I expected more from this episode.  Boring!  I’d give it a C+.  Meh…. I’m ready to move on from this show.  That said, I think the series finale could be epic and am looking forward to it.

  8. It wasn’t necessarily what Greta said, though it should have been unnecessary, it was HOW she gave Theo instructions on calling 911.  She treated him like he was just out of diapers.

Gary and Maggie.  Pffff…. I can’t stomach either one of them, together  or apart.

This show isn’t what it used to be.  Yes, I said the same thing after the last episode.  I know.

  9. What are Lily, Billy, and Amanda smoking?  They’re talking about this potential merger as a joining together to create a new “family” company.  Lily doesn’t own CI.  She’s employed by CI.  Yes, she’s running the company but she’s running it FOR Jill.  I’m not presently a fan of Devon, because of the Dom fiasco, but I hope he stays away from this merger.

Also, Amanda is pushing him yet again.  First, with encouraging him to get closer to Dom when he was totally unsure and now with this business decision.  What’s up with her?

  10. I used to like this show.  Now?  Meh….

So disappointed with the probable Maggie/Gary reunion.  I can’t stand her.

Katherine?  Good for her, I guess.

    Gina’s storyline?  Pffffft…

Eddie and Rome.  Love those two.

I think I’m checking out of this show and not looking back.  It’s not what it used to be.

  11. I like what they did with the house on last night’s episode except:

    1.  Why would the stagers place the back of the sofa in front of the fake fireplace?  You couldn’t even see the fireplace when you entered the home/room nor would anyone see it while sitting anywhere in the room.

    2.  I hated the floor tiles that were chosen for both bathrooms.  I realize, and accept, that people love this overall look now days but those patterns remind me of 1970s kitchen linoleum.  Yuck.

    3.  I don’t think they should have left that wooden porch area (or whatever they called it) attached to the front of the house.  It did look better painted black but I thought it took away from the overall charm of the curb appeal and can you imagine how HOT it would be to either step or sit on it in the sun?

    4.  Why did they leave the house with what looked to me like two different kinds of green roof shingles?

I was shocked at how much profit they received from this sale…..if the sale actually went through.  I understand the housing market is crazy in CA (as it is all over most of our country) but I was flabbergasted.  Good for Tarek and Christina.
