I thought Whoopi’s steering the discussion into American Black victimhood was, frankly, ludicrous. And Sunny’s repeated accusations of the attacks being “illegal” were ignorant of the geopolitical context and circumstances. .

ill echo Whoopi’s sentiment in saying I'm hoping you don’t mean this the way it’s coming across….

I think the point Whoopi was trying to make is that America may not have moral high ground to criticize based on how it treats women, based on how America has treated and currently treats minorities, lgbtq, women, immigrants etc.   We support Saudi Arabia and other middle eastern countries who treat women and gays the exact same way as Iran.   So the pearl clutching by Alyssa and Sarah feels disingenuous.

I heard 60% which is still too high. But the point Sarah (I think it was Sarah - maybe Alyssa as you say) was making is that this huge majority of people think, wrongly, that undocumented immigrants are already criminals just for the act of crossing the border illegally. And that was 90% of Republicans, a majority of independents, and nearly a majority of Democrats.

I believe it was 2/3 of Americans (66%) so we can split the difference 😀.   Alyssa mentioned the stat Monday and Sarah repeated it Tuesday.

I appreciated the ladies stopping Alyssa today before she could imply that liberals are faulting the national guard members for what happened rather than those who gave the orders.

The push back against these ICE raids has been getting stronger & stronger, even in places where almost everyone voted red & this whole thing was to distract people from the Elon fall out given some of the accusations he made. Notice how they only spent a joking 2 minutes on that & made it out to be a childish split rather than the main headline. But his sycophants will happily follow him over the cliff while he watches with that stupid smirk on his face.

According to Alyssa’s polls 70% of Americans are fine with the raids.   That they want all “illegals” deported even those that haven’t committed a crime.  As if polling defines law or morals…

What’s missing in the discussions on these raids, is the employers hiring the undocumented.   Why aren’t they being arrested and/or fined?   It is illegal to hire people without legal work permits

  4. Who thought ending a segment about body shaming of celebrities on weight loss and plastic surgery with a Sarah led infomercial on wrinkle cream…..was a good idea?

This might be un-PC, but what on earth did Canaan mean by saying he was bullied for his skin color? He looks basically the same color as Kolbi and Jamal.

Hard to tell without additional context.   He could mean bullied by non-black people, for just being Black.   Or he could be referring to colorism within the Black community possibly

liked that Kevin pushed on several questions and will watch next week to see how David answers the push for the 'real' timeline.

David was doing the same squirmy vagueness thing he did when lying to Michelle and the experts when KF asked about the timeline.  I don’t expect him to tell the truth.   But it’s pretty clear things were physical before the retreat.

Still don’t understand Madison’s hostility towards Michelle.  Her conversation with Allen was civil and she genuinely (for her) apologized.   If she kept that same energy towards Michelle, it would have been a much better look.  Also interesting there is no footage on Michelle bad mouthing Madison.  Madison commenting on Michelle’s age was an especially bad look.

Agree. Then why so much resistance towards naming 5 accomplishments? IOW, why not take this opportunity to show that you are important to the your government department head. And maybe it could even lead to getting a raise.

Federal employee's managers and department heads already know what the worker has accomplished.   There are already mechanism's in place for that.  And if you are doing a great job, there are ways to reward good performance.   The major issue is the request came from outside the chain of command.   And the request lacked context.

It would be like the VP of Finance at a private company sent emails to everyone asking what they did last week without any other context.   The other VPs at that company would probably instruct their employees not to respond, and would coordinate any response if it was appropriate.

Joy was obviously lying or has blocked out anybody on the panel being “mean” to her. Do the initials MM mean anything to her?

Oh she remembers…. She corrected herself and said no one on the CURRENT panel has been mean to her.

Michelle literally had an issue with him talking with exes. That was outside of the texts

Michelle had an issue with his coffee dates with his tinder friends.   But more in a “do you think that’s appropriate?   It’s not something I would do..”. kind of way.  she wasn’t really mad and she seemed to let it go.   We are only talking 8 weeks. David talked a lot about being all in….and trying his best, but his actions indicate he gave up pretty early and sought validation elsewhere.   Michelle didn’t like him, but she at least gave him the respect not to openly pursue other men.

I was getting a red flag over Allen’s destructive behavior. To destroy property that wasn’t his and lighting a fire was concerning. I was surprised a smoke detector didn’t go off. I’m sure the film crew stayed after he left but still he could have burned that place down. I understand why he felt the way he did but was questioning his self control.

It was a bit over the top.  But I also thought it was very organized destruction. 🙂  The things he destroyed belonged to both of them.   The broken cups were neatly put in the sink.   The photo book was torn but the pages weren't ripped out and the book placed back on the table.   The burnt vows were burned but quickly extinguished and left on the counter.   None of her personal items were touched and none of the apartment's property was damaged.

It felt more producer manipulated than an out of control response from Allen

David and Madison straight up lying about having been intimate.  They must think we are blind.  Or stupid.  We are neither.

When the experts asked had they'd been intimate, David's response, facial expressions and posture was exactly the same as when he was lying to Michelle about the text messages.   He gave them the same same lines about not caring if they believed him that he gave her.     That solidified to me that something physical definitely happened between the two of them

  12. So the show did a super cut of all the David and Madison clues, including the late night camera footage of them coming home to their separate apartments at the same time.   I think Production knew what was going on before the retreat.

And while Emem wasn’t wrong in what she said to Ikechi, I really wish she would have done it differently.  She came across bitter and he’s not worth the effort

    Whoopie talking about comedians.

Sunny calling normal Jeopardy "white Jeopardy" and then saying "I know because I've been on it" was sort of ridiculous and funnier than most of SNL usually is. Does she not know she's not white?

The rest of her quote was “and I didn’t win…”.  That was the joke she was attempting to make 😀

I actually think it is kind of amusing that almost all of us here have the same thoughts about Michelle - she is just looking for a way to not get the villain edit, but it backfired. Most of us still don't like her or her attitude and don't have empathy towards her.

I agree that Michelle was awful to David at the beginning.   But she was always very honest.   I think her issue was the lying, not the cheating.   When David told her about the coffee dates with ex tinder dates.   She wasn’t happy, but she let it go.

But the repeated lying to her face, even when she pointed out specifically why she felt he was lying was triggering to her and she couldn’t let it go.   She seems to value honesty.   And David was “playing in her face” as the kids like to say 😀 I don’t think she did it for the edit.

Hated that David talked to Allen instead of Madison.   Very cowardly on her part.

Sunny's rant against Elon Musk* was disingenuous - Many, if not most, people in government work aren't elected; that's why they have confirmation hearings for those who will be in the greatest positions of power. As for the day-to-day worker bees - There are background and security checks on them prior to employment, so we're not talking about putting McDonald's workers in charge of sensitive information. Also, what does the current situation of South Africa have to do with whatever Musk believes? Perhaps having grown up in an apartheid country, he became more democratically inclined after seeing the disfunction in his home country. There are undoubtedly lots of reasons to be mistrustful of Musk, but Sunny didn't present any that made much sense.

    * I am not a Musk fan, but I think if you're going to have effective criticism, you need to be sure it is accurate and applicable.

Because Musk was behind the cuts to aid to South Africa.  He also is behind white South Africans now being considered refugees in America.  That is likely what Sunny was trying to reference when she was giving the land ownership statistics,

Sunny could do better setting up the background for her statements, but she's (or any of the ladies really) are rarely given enough time to do so without being interupted.

  16. I’m sure the Doge dude is working with other people especially women and minorities.  So him stating he is a racist, does directly affect how he does his job.   No one wants to work with an open racist.   If a teacher said on SM that they hated kids, most parents would have issues with that person teaching their kids

It's a pattern with him.  When he was with Kim K, he always seemed to be very involved in what she wore and her photo shoots.  He's got some thing about putting the women he's with on display.  It's pretty gross.

Agreed it’s gross.  However, I’m not crazy about the narrative that this all Kanye’s doing.  It may very well be his wife’s idea, or she’s she a willing participant.   Placing the blame on Kanye only reduces her to a victim or child, instead of a fully equal woman.

A broken hip is major injury and surgery and recovery.

Plus Pelosi was hunted by the insurgent terrorists on January 6th.

Pelosi's home was broken into with the purpose of harming/killing her, except she wasn't home and her elderly husband was brutally attacked wth a hammer!

How indefensible must her decision be to NOT  attend the inauguration?

I just can't believe that Alyssa went there. Talk about going low.

That criticism of Pelosi was a head scratcher and tone def on her part.   She is no longer in House leadership.  There's no real reason she needs to be there, especially given she has a recently broken hip.

I'm also not a fan of Alyssa's current attitude that because he won, the previous stuff he did is basically excused.   And the others should let go of their concerns.   She didn't stop criticizing Biden policies even though that is what the American people voted for (nor should she have)

Still not really caring for Camille, either. I want to see HER make a compromise for him, instead of just changing Tom. He is a wiling participant, but it just looks to be one-way.

I liked that Tom basically told her exactly that in a caring way.   He talked about how he's changed and been vulnerable for her, and he wanted her to be more vulnerable towards him.  Tom seems like a really good guy.

I would like to see Madison slow down her partying ways if she really wants to to show Allen she is trying to make the marriage work.   She already acknowledged that drinking brings out a darker side to Allen.   Yet she continues to encourage him to socially drink.   Seems like a better approach would get to know him while he's at his best.   .

Alyssa is trying to rebuild bridges with the Rs. I don’t doubt that she thinks both trump and hegseth are unqualified but she’s taking the party line (wrt trump anyway) of hey, bygones, time to move on. She’s hoping to be offered a role in the post trump administration.

How much do I love Tammy Duckworth and Jasmine Crockett?

I'd guess that Alyssa makes more money on the View than she would working in the Trump administration.   Although I do think she is trying to rebuild some bridges to position herself for her post View career working somewhere else in conservative media.

When Sunny said (through clenched teeth) “I wonder where the ‘Angry White Woman’ tropes are” I wanted to yell at the TV “They’re called KARENS, dummy.” My god, Sunny gets worse and worse by the day.

Iget where Sunny is coming from.   Karen is a relatively new phenomena (past 5-6 years).  And while the origins is of the term was white woman, the "trope" has basically morphed into  any overly entitled woman who doesn't just mind her business regardless or race.  Cashmeoutside girl (both the original and nancy mace) are both  angry and white, but it's not Karen behavior

Karla:  We’re the Experts blind?  I still can’t figure her out.  She’s a Baby and nuts to boot.  Now she wants to go to New York and be a Tarot Card reader?  Where l. At the Circus?  Is she real?

I think the show was hoping for Karla and Juan to be fun and quirky like Bennet and Amelia from the New Orleans season.   But Juan is not the guy for that.
