  1. on Friday's show, Miss Missy proudly proclaims that she does not participate in sponsored segments. I assume it's optional for the co-hosts, and i also do think it diminishes their credibility (Sunny in particular). Was her change of heart due to the "spokesperson" being a RHW or a subconscious attraction to the product itself?

  2. I watched Tuesday's Lorena Bobbit appearance with interest and she seemed well-spoken and credible. THEN i watched the Amazon docuseries and now I have my doubts about her mental stability (back then and now) which is not to say she wasn't /isn't credible and I am not passing judgement . Interestingly, Whoopi makes several appearances using the event in her stand up as one of the many comics who went to town with it, and also in present day persona. It was probably a good thing she was out sick that day.

  3. Whoopi (Ms Do Your Homework) to Schultz... "can you do an audio version of the book, cuz not everyone can see? Schultz replying that there IS an audio version. PLUS she makes enough money to PAY someone to read it to her (potential job for Alex??)

  4. whoopi posted a live thing on facebook yesterday. It seems that she does indeed have a clothing line. The clothes were predictably horrible (and should come with a shopping cart full of returnables for the complete look. (no offense meant to the homeless, who , at least in my neighborhood are usually far better dressed). Naturally Alex was one of the models!

  5. My theory for Whoopi's  trump euphamisms is that, even though she NEVER lets go of anything she thinks brands her, it's also one of her zillion time-fillers. There's always a thoughtful pause after she says it which helps her avoid having to misread the teleprompter for an extra few seconds.

  6. re: wednesday's show and Leah Remini -  I have been watching her A&E series on Scientology and the subject matter is so serious and frightening. Her demeanor on that show is very heavy and she rarely cracks a smile (nor should she...) so it was refreshing for me to see her being witty and silly and goofy on the View. She might want to bring some of that to her series and simply make FUN of Scientology, (oh, but the lawsuits....)

  7. I always watch the next day, so this refers to Monday's show.

If anyone grew up with a loved yet problematic dog who bit everyone and was "taken to a nice farm to live", I think it's time for Meghan to "go write her book" (or to go live on that nice farm).

I think it's also time for Greta Monihan to get her own spot in the opening intro as a co-host, I also wonder how someone gets to be a "lifestyle expert" and just how many freaking skin products can she possibly "use EVERY DAY!"? I am also sooooo embarrassed for Sunny to have to work that gig. Can't they force Meghan to do it once? (can you imagine???)

  8. I spoke too soon! The ratty star scarf is back! Also (note to Whoopi) , one of the most tired interview questions to a guest promoting a movie " I just needed to ask this question.... what made you want to do this film?" And ditch the half-baked (probably literally) accents that you drift in and out of.

  9. Re: the ever increasing, invasive, annoying "View Your Crap" segments.  As if the breathless orgasmic panting and screeching weren't enough, I notice a faint, yet distracting musical background which is mostly bass and drums. I know music is often used for subliminal purposes but this is really downright annoying. Also, i am now embarrassed for Sunny who seems to have been forced into the role of simpering over the top shopper with no taste.

  10. I was going to post that it appears Sherri has a small role as the adoption worker in the new Mark Walburg "Instant Family" movie until I realized that the character is actually played by  Octavia Spencer. Sherri used to say how people always confused her with Spencer and i thought she was just flattering herself. I stand (well, sit) corrected.

  11. I have been a loyal and devout worshipper of Tyler Perry for a long time but had not seen him in a while. His overly-long  tongue bathing of MM and especially WG has cost him many "pachebo points" (not that he will care).

  12. As for guests being pre-seated or entering , I am guessing that non celebrities are automatically pre-seated and "star quality" celebs are given a choice. Most of those have large enough egos that they want the applause and fawning from the co-hosts.

  13. "hey hey! ho ho! greta monahan's gotta go!"  how many of the items she shills can she possibly "use all the time"? On the other hand, I thought that the little capsule on the "wish beads" bracelet would make a perfect cocaine stash...

  14. I never thought this day would come! I spent most of Raven's tenure on the View bitching about her vapid shallow self-enforced immaturity ("in this business" was my favorite hate-phrase). So i was totally looking forward to reliving my hatred of her, BUT... instead i hang my head in shame and admit that she has (at least from that appearance) matured into a thoughful, self aware and smart woman.
