No problem at all OhGromit ! Yup ! I'm living 2 kms from Vevey (you see the tower of the castle, on the left of my picture ? I'm living "here", not in the castle, lol, but 100m from it) and I'm working in Vevey, for the City of Vevey :) So that's why I'm fortunate to be able to go to my office by foot and along the lakeshore. And the statue is Charlie Chaplin, who ended his life in Corsier, a small village upper Vevey. FYI, theres' a Chaplin museum that will open in Spring 2016 : http://www.chaplinmuseum.com/en/index.php
