Interesting about the European OJ. I didn't know that. How is it gross? Also, I thought they were squeezing fresh oranges--- I've been binge watching, maybe I'm getting my seasons mixed up? What I didn't understand was they were--- at least on times in past---- squeezing fresh juice for each drink. Why not squeeze a whole batch to last the whole day?

Yes, they seem "gross". Why ? Because we don't add a shitload of sugar and artificial flavors, etc. like in the USA

I think all she did was thread the machine properly. If you don't raise the needle all the way up the tension plates don't open and the thread won't have the proper tension.

Most of those kinds of issues have to do with top thread problems.

She told her to lose the tension AND increase the length of the points -> 2-3, if I'm not mistaken. It was not a problem of a needle position, but settings 😉

I totally agree that he was disgusting, but there is no way that Bugsy saying "you look like you're undressing me with your eyes" was a good idea. To a guy like that it's encouragement, as if she's saying she wants him to. She should have just said "you look like an idiot-- go do some work."

...  But didn't she add something like "I feel violated" just after that ? And if it is how she felt, why wouldn't she said it ? Why is it not a "good idea" ? How did you come to this conclusion that it was a kind of encouragement ? I don't get it.

Anyone know where we can watch this show in the US? Or any other non-US Housewife shows? I think there is a Toronto show too. Are they available on Hulu or Prime or the Bravo app? Additionally, does anyone know if Ladies of London ever returned after the season that Caroline Stansbury moved to Dubai? I would love to watch any and all seasons of any of these shows somewhere?

    I sent you a DM 🙂

I can't say about her correcting him on sweetheart, but I do remember him calling her Master and she told him Malia was fine and then he turned around and called her Master Malia.

So thinking about it, she probably did on occasion, correct him and it is on the editing floor.

    Truly, he is an idiot.

Yes, thanks ! And, I'm maybe wrong for saying she told him straight away, but that's maybe because that "Master Malia" implied she did ? I don't have the ep anymore 😕

I could have sworn that she only said that in her talking heads... I could be wrong though. They played her talking head IMMEDIATELY after he said it.

It was on the 1st episode.

ETA : I don't find it, but she addressed before Sandy did, 100% sure

Yeah, that was bizarre. Seriously, dude?

However, Malia is pathetic. She whines to Cap'n Sandy about being called "sweetie" (something she should have addressed herself if she was a good leader) and throws the whole deck team under the bus for something only Peter called her. That was weak, especially from the bosun.

Then, Cap'n says something to the "boys" (as Malia calls them) about "do guys like to be called sweetie?". FYI, Sandy...guys routinely call other guys (who are friends) a lot worse, and guys don't whine about it. Not a good look for Malia at all. She gets weaker each episode.

For the nth time, SHE DID ! The 1st time he called her sweetheart ! : "Don't call me sweetheart !" and he answered something like "Ok, Boss Malia" (sorry, that's not that, but I don't remember the term he used. But SHE DIT tell him as soon as he said it !)

I don’t understand how Sandy can think that her having the ”sweetheart” conversation with the deck guys is going to earn Malia any respect from them.  First of all, it looks like Malia went and tattled on them.  Second, Malia needed to handle that herself.  It’s not like she tried and they ignored her.  We didn’t see her say a word to them about finding that inappropriate.

Bolding mine : Yes, we did ! 1st episode. And, after that, he called her "Master Malia" !

Wait. I don’t understand how, if it only required a few minutes of sleuthing here, the buyers at Century 21 didn’t realize they could contact alibaba directly.

It's not to have a way to source the clothes for less, it's more to "glam-up" their image, I guess (Yes, I know 😄, but seen with through my professional background in MKTG & COMM here, in Europe, that makes sense, lol !)

The annoying thing is none of their ratchet behavior is new. Only waited till BLM protests/George Floyd dying all over the world to do something about it. Even Max and Brett were spared a few months ago.

Now just fire disgusting misogynistic/homophobic/racist Jax.

... And don't forget Heeehaaaaaaaaaw Brittany ! Good riddance, you, fake bitch (because, yes, I really think she is. Fake and a bitch)

It looks like oeufs au plat might be sunny side up? Over easy is, well flipped for a very short time and then served.

    Personally I'm a sunny-side-up girl.

    That's "œufs au plat" :

Is that "over easy" ? If yes, seems yummy !

I considered that, but it would seem that if you cater to an international base, you should be familiar with at least the basics from the culture of your guests.  I know the preference sheet meetings are held right before they board, but I'm sure the chef is made aware of the season's charter guests well before their maiden charter each season.  Guess we aren't supposed to think it through that much.

NEVER heard about this term, neither my hubby, who is a (French) Chef and a restaurant owner. It's called "oeufs au plat" in French.

Thanks so much Diane Mars for uncovering this explanation/confession shared by Leah, 4 years ago, re her Bipolar condition.  This definitely helps to better understand her erratic behavior. I know Depression, and I also have a close friend who was diagnosed with a Bipolar disorder. That manic energy is such a 'high' and, apparently, those dealing with this altered 'brain chemistry' find it hard when medication eliminates that ability to 'soar.'  The downside, the Depression, is what ultimately drives them to seek medical intervention.  It's not unknown for people at that stage to commit suicide.  My mother had a friend who'd dealt with manic depression all of her life (before the disorder was even recognized)....and she finally took her life in her 60's.  As so often happens, her friends were shocked -- "but she was so happy, so funny" -- most of them unaware that she 'popped up' in their lives only when she was manic.

Thanks again, Diane, for 'tying some loose ends together' re Leah's behavior. (And I still hold the producers at least somewhat responsible for putting a woman struggling with both mood disorders and alcohol in the midst of a show that gets its ratings from women, plied weekly, with drunken party after party after party after party...

Thanks. But I am not the original poster of this link. I don't remember who it was, hence the reason I haven't mentioned its name, but I read it and I really thought it was important to repost it, because a lot of people didn't noticed it at first.

  14. Regarding Leah, I really think that this article, posted earlier, is a must-read, as it give more "sense" to what we saw : https://hypebae.com/2016/8/leah-mcsweeney-bipolar-mental-health

My ex-neighbour (the flat under mine) was suffering of the same mental illness. She told me that the most difficult thing is to stay ON your meds, because she was SO missing the "up" period, that, sometimes, she went off of them and... I knew it, because she was euphoric for a few days, and, after that, I witnessed kinda same scenes that we were served during this episode. [ETA : and yes, like Leah, she also did drugs, went to rehab, mental illness facilities, etc...]

And I'll add that the other HW are probably aware of her condition, and that explain why there were kinda... stoic (?) + that can also explain why Leah WANTED her sister here (as a support ? once again, read the link, because, for me, it all ties together)

I guess this would depend under which country the laws would apply. Not all countries offer the same rights US Citizens receive when in the US. All I can think of is Locked Up Abroad.

Martime law doens't depend on a country. It's an interntional one : www.un.org/Depts/los/LEGISLATIONANDTREATIES/PDFFILES/ESP_1992_Act.pdf

This show's not going to last too much longer. I sincerely wonder how Jax and Brittany will support themselves after it's over. How do people like that make a living? I'm seriously asking.
