Oh lucky me in Canada, I don’t get MAFS Oz or After Party, this mess is quite enough eh?  I will be stunned if it returns for another season.

Do you have a Smart TV that connects  to the Internet?

If so, please check our "MAFS: Australia" thread for links to watching that series.

This show was good in the beginning.  They must have different producers, as it’s horrible lately.  Wish they would bring back Australia.  That show was much better,  but disappeared into thin air in the middle of a season.  Now, I have to watch the After Party with Keisha.  Ugh !

Please look in the "MAFS: Australia" thread. I've been posting links to how you can watch Seasons 3-11 now. I'm  currently (as I type) watching S11, E7!

  3. Note to Chloe: Your weepy begging is a pathetic turn-off. Fuhgeddaboutit. And Austin is a consummate liar. He's "trying to work on things"?! To feel lust?!

He trimmed his beard! Hold me back. 🤣

ETA: I don't see Chloe deciding to stay. She said it all with her moving out for a few days.

ETA 2: Sorry for the mistaken name "Chloe" above! It is indeed "Note to Becca".

Gerry visited a nursing home which was a nice thing to do. Maybe I am an old crank but I feel like when you post pictures of it and pat yourself on the back you come off as promoting yourself and it takes away from the good deed.

Maybe to an observer, but probably not to the patients. 😇 Besides, this is the age we live in: EVERYTHING is fair game for Social Media! Now, add to that Gerry the Golden Groom who is likely still under contract to produce "content," and Katy, bar the door!

  5. Gather 'round, my children, to hear of Ye Olden Idol Days, when the young contestants were without polish or professionalism. Yes, we cringed when Simon went too far ("You look like a Bush Baby"), but the singers auditioned both individually and in groups, with original songs and choreography, staying awake all hours creating and practicing, depending upon no instruments (until Taylor Hicks, I think), and---to me most significantly---having no pre-conceived particular genre or gender "slot" to fill.

Now, instead of contestant creativity we get the back stories, the sob stories, the stories of grit and pluck and perseverance. Fewer "awful" attempts, but more mediocre ones.

    Still, every now and then......🎤🎶💯

    Post blunder. ^^^^^

I think what was most unflattering to Becca, suit and cap notwithstanding, was her terrible posture! Stand up straight, girlfriend!

But in any case, people have since forever rejected---or fallen madly for!--- other people based solely on appearances. After all, this show's title is a wordplay on that fact. So it is conceivable that Austin, Brennan, Clare, or whoever felt that way immediately. And no Pastor Cal or couples retreat or dangerous activity or heart-to-heart is going to alter that (pun intended).

Emily's accident was no fake! Exactly what EMT unit and hospital would participate in such a charade? In Emily's photo from her hospital  bed one can see not only her extensive stitches but also where her hair was shaved. NO young woman out to attract a young man on TV  is about to fake it that much!

  7. Well! The best part was the very end! The suspense! "What is Emily's condition?" "Will Brennan suddenly realize that he can't  live without Emily?" "Conversely, will Emily put paid both to these dangerous outdoor activities and also to Brennan?" "Was there ever redder blood than Emily's?!"

Aside from that, I need no more of:

---Orion. Go away, gaslighter, and lie in the bed you made.

---Anyone in a sauna. Was this supposed to bring Becca and Austin closer?

---Chloe and/or Pastor Cal stressing Michael's "feminine side."** A penny, though, for Chloe's real thoughts, because it seemed to me some doubts are creeping in.

---You're not fooling anyone, Clare. You miss Cameron.

**Props to KKP for "going there" in asking Michael about his sexuality. I'm  undecided on his haircut, though!

  8. I think some people are underestimating the number of Americans who would do anything to be on television. Dress up ridiculously, traipse naked through a wilderness, sing out of tune---or get married to a stranger. Infamy, fame, it's all the same.

And if perks include visiting scenic areas with someone ostensibly compatible with you, all the better.

So I'm gonna Occam's Razor this thing and opine that all the participants and production crew are for real, playing by the rules, nothing pre-arranged in an elaborate  "Case of the Replaced Bride." No Chloe the Actress or Chloe the Already Bride or Michael the Recruit.

Just two more people who think somehow their dreams will come true through the magic of television.

  9. My Samsung TV Guide has this for Lifetime, 1/31, 8:00 p.m.-- 9:31 p.m.:

    "Afterparty: Honeyspoonin'."

    At 9:31 p.m. it's "Prison Brides."

    Then a 1/2 hour "Afterparty" at 10:34 p.m.

ETA: The Lifetime website has it correct:

    8:00 p.m. = Episode "Honeyspoonin'."

    10:34 p.m. = "Afterparty."

  10. Just because we aren't shown the couples getting marriage licenses doesn't mean it wasn't done. I mean, it's not exactly riveting television! [Cue all the "But neither is/was...."]

Emily is young. Long hair with extensions seems to me the current style for her age.

Re: Michael's 2nd wedding. There is another possibility besides "fake drama." Or even besides "show wants to do right by Michael." And behind Door #3 is Michael saying, "I signed a contract to be MAFS, so my actually getting married will allow ABC to avoid legal problems."

  11. Emily hasn't learned that "Party Girl Who Whoops and Drinks and Dances Sans Culottes" is not a synonym for "Cherished Wife." At least, not to  Brennan.

As for Chloe's being an actress or just OTT, maybe her conventional appearance hides a Bohemian girl who is absolutely thrilled to be matched with a man matching her interior style! The kind of wife who will live with a conventional white kitchen, but really wants a turquoise fridge. And then wins one!

  12. Best MAFS episode EVER!

Michael and Chloe seem ready to join the pantheon of MAFS Still-Marrieds!

Clare seems to be re-assessing Cameron's worth to her. I believe she really did miss him then.

Austin is still psychologically hiding from Becca, as that beard takes over his face like kudzu. She should tell him it's a good thing he's "not ready for intimacy," because neither is she, with him!

Too bad we had to see a disgusted Brennan walking away from the dancing. What a royal jerk. But then, Emily didn't have to literally whoop it up.

ETA: This is it? There's not a different  thread I'm missing here?

I have no facts, but from observation I think that the ones who do have sex right away don't last.  The ones who last seem to have sex on the honeymoon or shortly after.  Because they are attracted to each other and enjoying the bond they built spending all that time together on the honeymoon.  And as a rule the guy is up for it but acting like a gentleman until the lady gives him a go sign 😄 And then, other than admitting they did the deed, they manage to keep the rest of it pretty private - like when they made Bobby say a fantasy for Danielle to act out, he said he'd like to see her in a ball cap so she wore one 😂. And then they shut the door.  I do think that both Emily and Becca should try a little less "sex positivity" and a little more letting the guy lead - I still remember Emily saying on the honeymoon that they were making out and she was pushing him to tell her when they would have sex - and after that was when he changed.  At this point Becca should tell Austin that they'll make terrariums and feed the fish, but she's done putting moves on him and he's in charge of that.  That will let her see if it's his issue or her pressure that's getting to him.  It's not like it could get worse for her - worth a try IMO!

    😉 🤫

  14. Brennan and Austin are Liars Extraordinaire.

Watching these two normal young men pretend that waiting for "deeper conversations" or "pressure from getting in my head about it" is somehow preventing them from feeling, ahem, romantic towards their spouses is MADDENING in the assumption we the viewers are as gullible as their "counselors."

And frankly, Emily and Becca are equally maddening in their self-debasing "But I think you're HOT" admissions.

Boys, get some integrity. Girls, get some pride.

I love Married at First Sight Australia 😄🙌💯🤩! Botched plastic surgery, fuckboys aplenty, thrown wine glasses, Australian insults yelled at dinner parties, sex and affairs, and knock down drag out fights! 📺🍿😄

Nobody minces words, pussy foots around issues or forces feelings on MAFS Australia- they shoot from the hip and move on if they don't want to bone or talk to a lackluster groom or bride.  I've never seen a full episode of MAFS AUS (I don't know where to find the series)- but I love to watch YouTube clips of it: I type in "MAFS AUS fights" and watch as I do my hair and makeup 😉💅💄

My favorite MAFS contestant of all time is MAFS AUS's Cyrell- she's funny, brash, small and mighty and full of explosive rage, one liners and cattiness! 😄 Also, I love that you, your daughter and hubby watch MAFS AUS and coined the term "Harrisoned" so great 😄🙌.  I love watching fights and relationship drama on TV and that's why I love 90 Day Fiancé- the creme de la creme of televised dysfunctional relationships! 💯💖
