I mean, since we’re showing how elderly we are, I see your Elvis Stojko and raise you a Shirtless Phillipe Candeloro Sinking to His Knees.

Good grief, you are killing me. Honestly, Jojo doesn’t remind me of anyone except a desperate attention-seeker who really, really wants to fit in with the cool kids. Maybe like the little scrappy dog on Looney Tunes who hangs out with the bulldog? Or Scrappy Doo!

I liked the first broadway number with the sailors - at least I understood the story without the explanation. I felt like the Cabaret one was messy and just wanted it to be over.

Minority opinion here but I’m okay with Jaylin. I thought his energy suited the number and he actually seems to be dancing well. I’m okay with him being safe.

I'll  see you, and raise you a Bowman the Showman.

what I was trying to say was that they were not the characters of Beavis and Butthead, just two dudes who looked like them. We didn't get one saying something like "y'know how AI pictures give people extra fingers, can they make a chick have extra boobs?".

Ah, I get you now. They didn't know they looked exactly like B&B, nor even who B&B were! 😊

  3. Emily was in her best "Look What You're  Missing Out On!" dress, cut up to here and down to there. And to no avail, except yes, to remind Brennan as he gives thanks!

I have wondered if Becca's hair color was off-putting for Austin. (ETA: And by that I mean the pink was washed-out unflattering.)

The men behaved in accordance with their feelings of "NGAS" anymore about their  exes while still respecting Kevin and this show. But Emily and Clare, especially, plus Lauren in her "I'm a Tough Broad Who Bites" persona, evidenced that they still care about something related to this show.

one of the best things IMO about this sketch is, aside from the shared laugh, was that they weren't Beavis and Butthead, they just looked like them. Having actual B and B would have pushed things too far.

Um, what? Is this a joke I'm not getting? Beavis and Butthead are not "actual" anythings in the 3-Dimensional world. (Of course, if you mean Eric and Junior Mint, my point is moo.)

But did you laugh as hard as Heidi Gardner?  I've never seen her lose it like that.  But there was too much breaking throughout the show, they just never let up on it.  Kudos to whoever wrote that Beavis and Butthead sketch, I think it was one of the most original things I've seen on SNL, and it was genuinely funny.

I've always loved the alien sketch.  I was hoping Kate McKinnon would do one when she hosted awhile back, but holding it for Gosling makes sense.  But her character supposedly permanently left earth with the aliens on her farewell show, so we have a continuity error.

"[A] continuity error"?! SNL isn't some long-running drama where characters and plot are usually linear!

The 3 women (Clare, Emily, and Becca) are all hurt because their grooms were simply not attracted to them.

So the 3 men (Cam, Brennan, and Austin) couldn't see themselves becoming intimate with their wives.

As a new bride, having your husband turn away from you in bed is hurtful.

They turned that hurt into anger and blame, rather than empathy and support.

I don't care what these 3 women say, the "Pink Power" thing was to try to be a show of force, but it backfired.

I think Clare and Cameron's opinions can be exchanged.

IIRC, Cam was initially attracted to Clare, but she made it very clear very early that she was not similarly attracted, much of which I attribute to her disdain for Cam's job and his lack of ever having had therapy.

So he backed off and cooled his jets. Never recovered from this.

    ETA:

The experts are falling all over themselves to claim they were misled, scammed, and played, so nothing was their fault.

  6. Re-watching some.

WTH does Emily think she is, talking over, challenging, accusing, and making her ugly faces at Kevin?!

And IMO, Emily's unremitting negative attitude towards Brennan no matter what he says is evidence that she is stuck on him 😉!

    "Vocal Fry Scale, 1--10 (10 = OMGSTHU)":

    Chloe --- 3 👎

    Clare --- 4  😬

    Lauren ---4  😬

    Emily --- 8  😖

    Becca --- 10   🙉

  7. Emily thinks she is an 8.5?! That of course every man would want her?! Does she shop at "Delusions 'R' Us" ??

    Emily = 🤪 😵 🤡

Wow. Brennan is clearly the sane person in this ex-couple! Never thought I would think anything positive of him! 😊

Great. I already know Becca has a...misguided self-assessment, so maybe I'll think better of Austin tonight, too! 🤭

  8. MEA CULPA!

I gave Treesa too much credit.

As with the Spanish Inquisition, I didn't  expect there to be a "FAMILY FEUD" episode of the Turners and Nists!

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist's Family Feud episode will still air https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13312129/Gerry-Turner-Theresa-Nists-Family-Feud-episode-air.html?ito=native_share_article-nativemenubutton

It’s hard enough to watch the young ones embarrass themselves. It’s just painful to watch seniors. Reality TV really strips people of their good sense. Fame and money are powerful, seducing seniors to pretend they are still young and sexy.
I hope we’ve seen the last of these senior bachelors and ‘ettes.

    Where do I begin? 🤔

First, there is at least a slight chance that not all the "GB" participants were in it for fame, money, or either. I have a feeling that Theresa, e.g., won't be a future TV contestant or host. I see that chase only in the eyes of Gerry, Susan, Kathy, and Leslie.

Secondly, if the "GB" showed us anything of the participants, it was that they were not in the least deluded about their being old! Hello, hearing aids, anyone?! 🦻

That they had kept physically fit and could show the viewers that horses and sports cars and ATVs were not beyond their capabilities are not---and maybe should not be ---actions "embarrass[ing]" or "painful to watch."

Lastly (italics mine): "...pretend they are...sexy"? Class, it appears that some of you were absent for the lesson on "The Eternal Knowledge of Riding a Bicycle." 😉

A wise person once observed: "Youth is wasted on the young." 😁

Susan's hoped for promotion is for junior partner, right? Making someone a partner isn't the same thing as a promotion at all. Yes, it's a bump up in roles at the firm but it's also buying into the firm. Susan would have to buy in which wouldn't be an issue based on what we know about her financial situation. And let me caveat that I've never become a partner at a law firm for this next part, but I would imagine that you can't just make someone a partner whenever with no input from all the other partners. I don't think it would be on Margaret alone to decide. There would have to be a partners meeting where new partners would be discussed and decided on. Plus, (and again, I don't know for sure) but I imagine a law firm wouldn't just make someone a partner mid-Q2. I would think, because of the financials involved there would be set times in a fiscal year when partners would be added.

I know this is not a realistic show, but it would be nice if there was some sense that this isn't just a promotion. Susan is already a senior associate. She should know what the partner track looks like and when and how she may become a partner.

Operative words (italics mine): "...this is not a realistic show."

  11. Wasn't it Leslie whom Gerry had lustfully pressed up against a wall?

And wasn't it Theresa whom he did not?

Leslie excited Gerry, and Treesa comforted him. Which desire did Ole Ger' choose to ride with into the sunset? The better-paying one.

    And then he lost both.

  12. I hope they know where they're going with this new enmity between Susan and Margaret.

Is Margaret headed for her own firm, with Todd?  "The Wright Stuff."  "The Wright Lawyer and the Wright Investigator."

  13. Okay, I was fooled! I thought, once poison was discovered, that the weapon was really those roses from the Super-fan!

And haha to the shout-out about having "perfect pitch," with Skylar one of the stars of...."Pitch Perfect"! 😉 😁 🎶

  14. I might have been listening without full attention, so what exactly turned Chloe off/away from Michael?

I mean, I can guess (Attire? Jewelry?), but did she ever articulate? Because what I perceived as "cold and cruel" is her silence, her letting Michael wonder. But I could be off-base here.

  15. Woman went home with $0 today because  she didn't know the first question. She not only had never heard of the expression "Tell it to the Marines" (she confidently chose "Mailman"); she exclaimed,"You're  kidding!" when told the correct answer.

I was so outraged (yes,I know) that I called my 69-year-old friend to tell her about this idiot contestant.

My friend had never heard of the expression, either.

I didn't really like or get Chloe throughout the season but by the end my opinion changed about her and even tonight she seemed very sincere and honest.

And here I thought she seemed the coldest and even cruelest. "Go ahead, say what you want. I won't be hurt." It is said that the opposite of love is not hate; it is indifference.

At least the hot-under-the-collar "Pink Power" women had  their respective husbands' (alleged) gaslighting, lying, hypocritical strategizing, and manipulating to stake their divorce reasons on.
